Seriously guys, protection and zombieproof gear is for pansies. The only thing that's going to keep you safe is looking as sharp as possible. How will you dress to kill during zpoc? Nearly every zombie film has some badass in a slick costume at some point or other. I don't want to hear about your fancy 'chainmail' or 'flak jacket' rubbish, will you go for the ninja style? Biker? Will you go for the mysterious cloaked stranger effect or the obvious warrior? Get inventive here.

Edit: C'mon lads, you're doing it wrong. You're being, dare i say, practical..? I want interesting, not sensible.

Cool, i liked the 2nd one , the one wich the guy and the girl are using...............yeah i looked only the suit haha
Energy repulsors would be a good weapon against Zeds
being motherfuckingIRONMAN would be a good weapon against Zeds.
I have to disagree. In this case,

all the benefits of iron man, plus a minigun
A white (soon to be red) tux
white top hat
aviators
white bandanna over the face.

RAW

no but seriously
basic ACR -black
some sort of tac vest
some oak boots
something to hold my Taurus 1911
seriously basic shit
fancy and complicated=dead
Now I may not have a mouse farts amount of time served in the military, but I do know how useful a tactical vest can be. If you want to carry your magazines in your pant pockets, god bless ya, but me, personally, I'd rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it, KAPEESH?!
My epic apocalypse outfit consists of:
- A bike helmet
- Pair of sunglasses(GOTTA LOOK COOL WHEN SHOOTIN)
- A paint mask(hell i dont want to catch it)
- Pair of blue jeans(<_<)
- My beautiful sneakers, so blue and shiny and bloody
- This shirt:

- A teddy bear taped onto my bicycle helmet
Throw in a shotgun and a baseball bat and theres my epic outfit
how are you going to use 3 pieces of face protection at once?
yeah , its sexy but stupid in the way it doesnt protect haha the boobs get hurt
dude, think simple. 1 piece coveralls with various backpack and tool/weapon belt's(batman style), assorted mop4 gear that will probably be laying around soon enough. masks will come and go. boots are great for stomping brains in but weak in terms of playing the quiet game. chucks are great but hell on your feet, no real protection either.

your gear like your choice of weapon really depends on the situation at hand.

there is no universal zombie proof gear/guns.

p.s.22cals are easy to silence, and you can literally carry 100x more of them the any other modern round.
The same kit as the actors wore in 300 with the addition of crossed 7.62mm belts over my chest.
*Cracks knuckles* thats why i love this site, people like you :)

I know its fun to belive zombies are real, but when it comes down to the end of the day, roleplay Z-Day is complex, different ideas, different ways of fighting, i doubt alot of us has even been in a war and shot a stranger, let alone a freshly dead relitive, and far little people realise that 99% of us will be shaking, its just something no prep can prepare you for...

Anyway, i'm not saying i have shot anyone, but...onto the rest of my usual hardly-relivent drivvle before my REAL post ;)

About 2 weeks ago, me and a bunch of buddies were having a zombie chat, and the topic arose that, say its 5 years after Z-Day, everyones used to it, surely we can drop the sharksuit and shotguns for something abit more riskeh and interesting, and here is my outfit:

Kidding, you dont think i'd let you off with a small drivvleload? ;)

First, how i came up with it...I present you with, the warhammer 40k commisar: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4OYGjUrdllo/ShyzLMEzInI/AAAAAAAAWOM/1OZGa...

Now if your a warhammer 40k fan (like moi) and a avid imperial guard player (like moi) you'll understand why i love them, if your not, let me fill you in...If there is alot of scary things infront of you, put something scarier at the back, the commisars are the kind of "go fight zombies or i'll put a bullet in your head" antihero, tough love, badass human fighters of the imperium, but, arnt real...

So where would i look for a military trenchcoat? WW2 obviously, either a SS officers one, or a russian comanders one, the difference if SS is black leather, and the russian was generally more cottenish...seeing as were going on the "killing machine" look, and i want to look badass, i know its SS, but black leather beats brownish cotten, so i'd go for that.

For headwear, i'd want my face hidden, and for that extra "creepy" look, i'd go for a gasmask...

And proberbly a officers hat of some sort...

Weapons? A good old sword, and a TMP machine pistol with those thingies on my side laracroft has so when i reload it has a ammo mag sticking out already ;)
