I'm torn. I have different weapons already. There are weapons I own and there are weapons I can acquire in a moment's notice. Okay, List 1 is if I'm at work. List 2 is at home.

List 1
Primary: Colt M-4
Primary 2: Bennelli M-4
Secondary: Glock 30
Secondary 2: Glock 21
Melee: Diver's knife
Melee 2: folding lock blade knife
List 2
Primary: Marlin 336 30/30 (owned since I was 13)
Primary 2: Mossberg 500 12 gauge Cruiser
Secondary:Puma .45 Long Colt Mod. Winchester 94 Lever action
Secondary2: TTN Intl. 12 Gauge Coach gun
Melee: In Leiu of Melee I would go with my twin Uberti Single Action Army in .45 Long Colt ( can use as striking weapon when empty)
Melee2: Diver's knife

These are the weapons I own or have ready access to. They are not my only weapons. I own other guns and various hunting knives. List 2 can change depending on what I grab first.

Whoa, exactly where do you work to be able to aquire these weapons?
Dude I've been a cop for 19 years. Read my profile.
Thats sweet, I wish I had acess to that kind of firepower, Sadly I only have a .22 cal and a .45 there both pretty good but i'd like to get my hands on a sub-uzi. Hopfully with a silence I could make one myself I guess, Silence is key.
Get yourself a .40s&w...same stopping power as a .45 with a little less kick (for accuracy) but the rounds are a little cheaper and some .40s&w can handle different types of ammo.
I have a Glock 27. It's .40 S&W. nice gun. n ot quite the .45 ACP though
Thats some damn good adivice, i'll have to check that out.
I agree with the .40 comment but disagree with the rest Col. Cooper wore a vest and got shot with all handgun calibers. Kinetic force in pistols are minimal at best. Working the streets I've seen plenty of people and and keep running around. It's bullet placement that matters! If you get shot in the head with a 9mm the las thing on your mind is going to be "that's a 9mm I'm not going to fall"

Ummmm YES he did!!!! My Dept uses American Small Arms Academy (the school he founded). To say "And lots of people have been shot with .45s while wearing vests and lived, but they all went down if hit in the torso. Cops wearing vests getting shot with .40s rarely go down" is completely false. Are you a cop and been to every firefight and saw for yourself??? As a 7 year police officer/ police instructor I can't validate this statement because it's a personal choice of yours and has no merit at all unless you can show me solid proof. Does the .45 ACP have more Kinetic energy than a .40 S&W? Of course it does but not enough to "knock you down"!! I've been shot with a .45 I recieved 2 broken ribs and a bruised sternum, but I didn't get knocked down. Maybe if you shot a really small person. I also shot a dog on duty that was at least 70 pounds with a Glock 21 and he still ran after me a bit. Natural adreniline is the worst kind of drug LOL... I can tell you favor the .45 and so do I but these statements you're making are largly due to personal opinion and not fact...  I can only argee with some of what you're saying Respectively take a look at these links

Machine guns are ok I like semi auto. less waste. a decent carbine will give you more range too. A pistol with an extended mag is as good as any Uzi in my book.
Yes but the .45 round tends to drop faster, That why I think that an uzi would suit you better, one for better acuracy and two for more rounds in the mag. The uzi submachine gun I bet is twice as acurate than any pistol. But the glock is a nice one, i'll give you that.
I've fired an Uzi once. wasn't impressed any more then anything else. Single action it's okay on accuracy. When using a pistol for self defense shots are normally fired within 21 feet. 7 yards. .45 isn't dropping in 7 yards or even 25 yards, enough to make a difference.
