Now, I was thinking with my friend the other day... what on earth would I use if a zombie apocalypse broke out? I needed something good on gas, can go over just about anything and maintain a badass look, something I can use in normal times like today and not look like a complete idiot. For example; not 2 have mini guns pointing out of the vehicles ass.

What better to use than a knobby tired, beast of a dune buggy.

If you have any ideas/pictures FEEL FREE to share hahahah

I'm planning on building a base model this summer, If I get around to it, I'll be sure to take some pictures and post!

btw* check out the image to get an idea of what I'm talking about

That is SO badass! Thanks Alot man! This is good, post was up few minutes ago and already getting hits!
Can't wait to get more ideas
Nicee! Goood ideas, all of these are slowly helping me picture what I'm trying to build
One thing that worries me is how low it sits. Zombies through the windscreen! The other is just the openess of it. Lotta room for heads and hands to come in. But, the manuverability, gas usage and, speed are all good points!
Yeah , you're gonna give up armor for speed, fuel mileage and maneuverability. You can fit some plywood ot sheet metal to the frames to get some more armor against heads and hands.
ya, It would definitely need some sort of metal mesh or protruding guards out of the vehicle with the potential to sever limbs while doing a ride by.. haha
Eh, I think something protruding out of the vehicle will likely get you stuck or jammed up.
what your really gonna wanna do is look at the vehicles made for the baja races made to go great distances on little more than trails but most of the best dune buggies are hand made its hard to find real dune buggies that are manufactured
I'm sure once things are settled in to what they are going to be until the ZPOC is finished people will have time to sit down and produce the Dune Buggies and Chenowth type rails. Until then you've got to run with what you've got. There are plenty of UTV and ATV type vehicles out there. They are maneuverable, powerful, quick and easy to work on.
Good point, but the thing is, I'm trying to work on something cost effective, I'm not willing to blow out my entire savings on this thing like a baja, so the best bet is what u said something hand made.. back to drawing board..
Don't skimp on the engine, transmission or brakes.
