What is the proper gear to wear during zpoc?
I'm talking about stuff that will give zeds less of a chance of bighting chunks off of ya(and probably shatter there teeth in the process) and gives you the upper hand of not getting infected

it's not done yet but you get the idea.

for those of you who havent tried this, go get a rain coat, now try to bite through that thing, pretty damn hard huh? now imagine wearing a sweatshirt underneath! now imagine biting through that! yeah, I think you're getting the idea, it isn't all that difficult to protect yourself.

Now all you gotta do is zombie-test it. Like they say in China,"Rotsa Ruck!"

Agreed 110%, People have limits because of pain, and your bodies natural denfences. A zombie does not stop when he feels pain, They just keep coming.

The point is, zombies are dead humans, not magical fairies with super powers, if you can't bite through something when you haven't been decaying, you sure as hell won't be biting through it when you are decaying. The point here is not to get infected, you will indeed be injured but you won;t be a mindless cannibal wandering around til some one offs you.

I never said they were stronger. Im saying they dont have a pain idicator, you start tearing into t a rain jacket and ur like "ow shit that hurt my tooth" and you stop. a zombie doesnt do that. The only parts of their brain that works is basic motor skills. eating, moving, hunting etc. No pain, No limits to how far they will go for a meal.

agreed humans on average use 10% of there muscle capability. that's because are muscles are made up of thousands of smaller muscle fibers. kinda like a breaded cable. and only 10% of those muscles fibers are used during normal day to day operation. in times of extreme danger it has been proven that adrenalin can overwhelm that part of the brain that controls muscle restriction. allowing you to use 100% of your muscles strength. women who lift cars of off baby's, and most notably a man who while rock climbing got his arm stuck under a large bolder and thanks to being able to use 100% of his muscles pushed it off. now theatrically a zombie whose brain is only partially reanimated will not have that restriction center working. basically because they fell no pain and it is pain which tells that restriction node to hold back. the standing logic is that a zombie is 3 times stronger then a normal person. its basically like a strong man was ripping into you. how ever this is a double edged sword. the reason we don't use 100% of our muscles is because our muscles are so strong they would tear them selves apart if you used them at full strength all the time. this combined with the fact that zombies are rotting (like jack said). leaves the zombie with a rather short efficiency rate. you can graph is with a freshly turned zombie being at 100% efficiency and then a sharp decline as it continues to operate. all this boils down to a freshly turned zombie being far more dangerous then a zombies that's been turned for a long time. so be wear of fresh zombies with 3 times normal human strength. so any armor should be able to with stand the bite strength a human being. on average 150psi X 3 = 450 pounds lbs/sq inch. stronger then the measured bite force of a hundred pound wolf. makes you think doesn't it. your best bet is not to make something that can endure the bite, but to make something that can't be bite. this angles. just as you use angels in armor to deflect the edge of a sword you can do the same to prevent a zombie from getting a good bite. at least for the few seconds you will need to blow there heads off. think of a samurai helmet, lost of crazy angels so you cant get a good blow it it just deflects off. anyway food for thought.

you know what else i was thinking one of those suits the bomb squad use, like in the move the hurt locker.

if you could get your hands on one it would be pretty zombie proof. its designed to protect you from flying shrapnel and the blast wave of an explosion going off near you. should be able to hold up to some biting and scratching. only problem is its cumbersome so you cant really move around that well. and it must get really hot in it. so its not for every day use but if absolutely have to pass through a heavily infested area i think its your best bet. besides roiling around in this thing.

also on a side note how awesome would it be to have those Howe guys on your z-poc crew?

What is that! XD
Not the suit, but that tank thing, looks awesome

yeah that's the badger made by the Howe brothers at Howe and Howe tech they had a show by the same name on the discovery channel. they make all these awesome tank like vehicles for the army and what not. you may have seen this guys big brother ripsaw.

yeah the badger there i'm pretty sure was made for firefighters as well as the army beause it can actualy enter a building and climb stairs, now imagine it with this luxury add on.

Now that's just awesome

i know right post z-day someone has to find these guys. they must be treated as alpha level priority assets. there protection and retrieval is vital to the survival of the human race! LOL
