I loved the first one but felt the second started to get a little too... science fictiony? Still an enjoyable read, mind you.

I really enjoyed most of the stories contained in The Living Dead and The Living Dead 2 anthologies, edited by John Joseph Adams. Stories by Clive Barker, George R.R. Martin, Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Robert Kirkman, Joe Hill and Max Brooks, to name a few. Many, many more as well.

Also, Night of the Living Trekkies is an amusing tale centered around an outbreak at a Sci-Fi convention.

The novelization of Dawn of the Dead is wicked as well, especially if you can get the edition with the new forward by Simon Pegg.

Here's one its called Day by Day Armageddon

autumn series by david moody, rot and ruin, dust and decay, and dead of night by jonathan maberry, then you got a brittish series the enemy, the dead, and the fear by charlie higson
