okay everyone so i got my contributor package toady YEA! which means its time to get down to business and start shooting! now for this i'm going to do something I've never done before and include an actual zombie in my video. hooray! now this of course means that i will need zombie makeup. now having no experience in makeup i need to know what i need to make a basic zombie makeup kit. the cheaper the better cause i only have a grand total of 60 bucks to shoot with that's makeup, special effect, props everything. and i still need to do a head smashing in effect and a few other props and effects. so spending the least amount is the name of the game. also if you could direct me to where to acquirer these items it would be a big help. right now I'm looking into this kit but does it have everything i need and can i find the same thing for cheaper somewhere else. thank you for the help!

The kit that you're looking at is an injury kit. While it's practical for wounds, you would be better off getting some white (clown type makeup) and using that in addition to the injury kit, then accenting the actor's faces. That's what we did for a shoot I worked on, and it just got a 4 million dollar budget. :D

http://graftobian.com/commerce/product.jsp?prodId=464&catId=13 this would be a good kit in addition to what you're looking at. Don't put too much, but enough that it makes them look pale. Oh and don't forget their necks, ears and hands/arms. Nothing worse than seeing a zombie with a perfectly white face and the rest is tan. :) Hope that helps, and hope you feel better! (Had my gallbladder out too, not so bad)

good skull bash look.If you run across some liquid latex ( with Halloween being right around the corner shouldnt be hard.), some toilet paper, and an empty bleach bottle  you can (with of course your assorted paint stuff) line an area with twisted up tp ( just roll it till it looks like a joint lol ) and use the latex to hold it there, plus it gives a nice slightly rotted texture. you can cut an area of the bleach bottle and place it under the area the tp is applied and it will give a good looking skull area like he got wacked real hard. you can also throw a lil blood on there or maybe cut the piece in two or several pieces. hope this helps dude.
Honestly, you can do a lot with your basic Halloween grease paints, even just a basic color wheel. If you look at the most recent zombie photo I submitted called "Sneak peek" (might not be up just yet, awaiting approval) all I used was, white, yellow, blue, a plum color and black, plus a bit of home made fake blood. It's all about practice and not over doing it, start off gradual when applying your make up, remember it's always easier to add more than take some away.
thank you all for the suport but i don't know if i'll be able to do it. my effects budget is now 2 dollars the rest went to various things while i was in the hospital. hopefully my parents will pay me back for the loan but i'm not holding my breath. also i'm still pretty weak from the surgery and i don't know when i'll recover my strength.
Hope to see you back making crazy shit soon!
well my strength's almost back to normal but with out an effects budget what i'll be able to do is going to be rather limited.
