Permalink Reply by Charles E. Maraggia on April 25, 2012 at 9:27am It's been almost 2 years since I first posted this topic. In that time I have lost 20 pounds, shaved 2 minutes off of my two mile, and received much more training courtesy of our ROTC Raiders program. I was tabbed last week, after a hellish but absolutely productive semester. Not only do I perform better physically, but I feel my mental abilities have increased as well, as well as my leadership skills. So here's my new regimen for anyone who's interested:
I still go to PT every weekday, 0545
Perfect Pushup- 30 reps several times a day
Pullups- 10 reps several times a day
Run- 2 miles every other day, every other run is done w/ 40lb vest
Rope climb- whenever available, focus on foot technique to save your uppr body strength
Misc. HIIT exercises- Burpees, mountain climbers, etc. Do the exercise for a certain amount of time, then rest for half of the time you exercised.
Sprints- 100-200 meters, or up the concourse at the stadium, up stairs at the stadium
If anyone feels like posting any improvements they've made, or would like to offer suggestions, feel free, I only want to help everyone be prepared.
Permalink Reply by Daniel on April 25, 2012 at 10:28am Went from a 13:30 1.5 mile down to a 10:26.
Weight has stayed the same, but I only work out 2-3 times a week for an hour.
Still do 65+ pushups and situps in a minute.
Plenty of leadership experiences have made me more direct and action oriented. As always trying to become a real leader, not a manager.
