1 rifle/shotgun/smg

Comfortable clothing you are willing to spend the entire apocalypse in (if need be), Boots are a requirement, or durable shoes.

some sort of facial cover to prevent infection through pores (ie eyes, mouth)

medium to large size backpack, and a small pack for yourself.

the mentality to survive and quick wits.
