I know it is extremely early to bring this up, but I figure if I bring it up now, it will reach more of you than if I bring it up when...if...the time comes.

If, nature forbid, our civilization does collapse, and our species becomes...what is the word I am looking for...endangered. If our species becomes endangered, it is the responsibility of those of us that remain to start a better society, not just version 2.0 of our society as it was pre-zombie. We must strive to make a world that is based on love, not hate. We must band together to be sure that those who would rule the new world through fear and hate do not regain their lost power. Racism, sexism, and classism are at the heart of our pre-zombie society, and maybe this...disease...this...affront to the circle of life is evolution giving us a kick in the ass, reminding us of what it is to be human. For far too long, many of us were not too different from the zombies we now fight. We walked around mindlessly, completing our objectives, paying no mind to those like us. But here is the wake up call. We have a common enemy as a race now. A reason to stand tall together and say "No. Not today. I will not lay down and be eaten alive, only to come back as one of the bastards that are threatening those I love, and those I have never known but could have loved." It is our job as those in the know, those who know more about this infection than the average person, to spread the word, to protect our fellow humans. And if the time comes to rebuild, we must remember the spirit of freedom, love, life, and equality. For without these characteristics, how much better than them are we really?

Now now, don't be so rude. I find using the g** in a negative sense quite offensive. Everyone has the right to express their own opinion. So, unless you have something nice to say or wish to contribute to the discussion in a way which is a little more constructive. Shut the fuck up.

I like where your going with that idea Danny. I would like to think that society would be reborn, civil and all the persons viewed as equal regardless of, well anything. My major concern whenever thinking about post apoc society is that when it rebuilds woman will be inequal and abused in that they may become viewed as merely walking incubators. I myself would not put down my gun to become fat and have to push a friggin child outta there. I think in the end it would come down to men getting the f- over themselves and treating woman as equals. Otherwise we may as well all run off and form our own lesbian society in my opinion. Bring in the occasional sperm donar maybe. I think it will be amusing at how some men will fall apart without woman. I know of many men, my father for instance who can't foodshop, clean or cook. Let alone work a washing machine, a dishwasher or put sheets on a bed. These things may not be so important in the immediate period after the z-poc. But long term, the world will need its woman. It just has to make em all happy first >:D Mmmm hope I didn't go to offtopic thar. Little bit feminist >>
Cheers! I'll raise my glass to that.

Its nice to see people with ideals. Once humanity starts rebuilding, I think we will see a lot of social variations. Communities across the globe will have different rules and acceptable behaviour. Its unfortunate that not everyone will be treated like a human being or on equal ground. If it doesn't happen now, it won't happen afterwards.

Well if you decide to create your own Amazonian Warrior Tribe/Clan, drop me a line and I will see what I can do to help. Warrior women are hot, and men who can't accept that are not men.
There cant be a peace and love civilization, if everyone is trying to survive by being the strongest (or who has most ammo). You can never be sure on who to trust, you never know when someone might turn on you for that box of rations. It would be a nice try and I give you good luck.
Its not so much a hippie fest as it is a common respect between survivors. Besides being strong doesn't mean ruthless. Like they say, there is safety in numbers. Not everyone wants to be alone...and like minds will come together with the single idea of creating a community for group prosperity.

No doubt there will be places where savagery and violence are the only views to life.

When it comes to trust...its earned, not given.
Ill agree to that
