well, as you can see from what I posted on my page I was literally takeing a crap when I first realized what was happening to the world. I have always been interested in zombies and have always been drawn to learning about them and their nature. I have the survival guid wich has now saved my life more than once. But, back to what happened. It was summer time and school was out. It was my day off from work and my parents and little brother were gone to the mountains for vacation while I was left to watch the house due to work. My morning ritual is to first get up, make coffe, take dog out, drink coffe, take dump. Everything was going just as it had every other day that I was off until I heard some odd noises coming from inside me house. The thing is, I live in a very safe neighborhood so sometimes in the morning my front door doesnt shut all the way. That door is way to damn hard to close. We have all hardwood floors in my house so when anyone moves you can hear it. I was reading a magazine like always when the dog started barking his head off. I didn't think too much of it. I finished my business and opened the door. There was an erie feeling by now. The dog stopped barking, no noise, nothing. Then all of a sudden I hear a loud thud. It sounded like something dropped in my parents room. As I got closer it started to smell horrible. I turned the corner and there was my first siting. It was jack, my neighbor. I was startled at first because I thought he had just walked into my house. But I soon saw the part of his head missing and came to the conclusion that eithier I am on drugs or this is really a zombie. I knew I wasnt doing any drugs so I did the first this that came to mind. I grabed my dads 9mm and blew a hole right threw his skull. I looked outside my window to see what I now know as a zombie outbreak. I have fortified my house and stocked everything I could find to the upstairs closet. I am staing here until I can plan an escape. But where do I go.....

I will keep you guys updated

determine, if you can, the size of the outbreak. That will help you decide whether you should stay holed up or make a run for it.
If you run for it, go to Alaska or canada, anywhere cold is good, and Mountains are great choices. Zombies cant shamble up the rugged terrain.
thanks guys those tips really helped. I have been posting my escape on the prepare outbrake forum. But I will copy it over here . I will only post the last one and just tell you the short version right now. Basically I did get to the roof. I was the only one at my house and I made it to my car with help of a not so pleasant distraction. The first place I went was my girls house because she lives the closest, only like 3 and a half miles. We got stuck there for a while but made it out. we are now heading to the mountains, er, were in my car and it has been a little uneventful. but I will post what happened not to long ago shortly
here is what happened recently and is my current state. I am using my laptop so I have to stop for power supplie every now and then.

Yeah, keep me updated on your situations. It took me a while to reply because we had a setback. I had been driving for a while and started to get sleepy. I hadn't seen any zed in a while and I guess I just got to comfortable. I dozed off one minuet and the next I was running off the road and down through the freakin woods. That scared the hell out of me. Well, me and my girl were fine from the crash but I knew we couldn't stay there to long. We both had cuts and I knew they would find us soon. We both filled some backpacks with only the things we needed and took our weopons and headed for the road. I try no to use light at night so it won't draw attentions but when we got to the road I felt very uneasy.
I knew something was about to happen and when I flipped on the flashlight there was a whole swarm of them coming up the road behind us. We both took off running as fast as we could. She stayed in front of me and I looked out for them behind us. We ran as hard as we could until we saw a little convienince store that also had a run down garage in it.we both darted in there and I had my axe in hand just in case something was in there. and to my luck there was. Nothing major. I busted open a glass window and went in first. Automatically two big zombies darted for me and I took them out quick. When we went in the garage we found a big tow truck and it still had half a tank of gas. We found the keys in the store and we took off. So now we are driving this big blue tow truck that says Tommy's on the side of it, haha. But at least now I can run some of them things over.
Don't over do it with those pills, though. You could end up crashing (not your car, but you) from exhaustion at a really bad time.
well if you have destroyed the staircase then you should be safe for a couple weeks or until rations run out but you didnt so a 9mm will only attract more zombies because its so loud so dont shoot them, zombies are slow and stupid but not too stupid so dont try to act like a zombie, your best bet is to try to push them all away and make a break for a window. if u sprain ur ankle from juming out a second story building get away fast and ill help you as soon as i can
i wouldn't jump out a window, i believe ur best bet is to wait till its dark and see if u can climb up on the roof. see if u can spot anyone on the other houses, chances are people might be on their roofs. if not then go with joey marinello;s idea. also i was going too add when u get on the roof see if u can put a sign on the roof ; if possible
I am stuck in my house also. I have my kids and I am afraid to go outside. My husband left to get us help days ago and I haven't seen him since. Good luck
