Slow zombies. Period. I know that fast zombies make it more dangerous, but the slow walkers are classic. They're still scary in more of a suspenseful way because they still manage to get ya'. Plus, they make sense because a decaying body full of rot would not be able to move quickly. The only way that the fast ones make sense is if they're not really zombies, just infected people.
Slow zombies are what I consider 'normal' zombies. The running zombies, like in the Dawn Of The Dead remake, are only scary because they can seriously move, and many, many people are self Conscious about their physical condition.
some zombies move slow some are faster.. it just depends on how long they have been dead..from what i have seen, even though they are rotting flesh, they seem to rot slower than if you were to just "die" and not have the virus..because the flesh is reanimated, the body does not rot as fast..
I prefer slow zombies to be more realistic. Fast zombies make for a good adrenaline pumping zombie flick. But I hate superhuman zombies like in Day of the Dead remake. The only reason why i liked that movie a lil bit is cuz it was so horrible it was funny.
If were talking about a story involving humans and the intense drama that would otherwise ensue do to the fast paced adrenaline ride of a zombie flick were watching then yes I prefer fast zombies. And for one simple reason, if zombies really did move that slow, then what is all the fuss about, we'd win the war in a matter of hours. The only thing that would allow a zombie horde to form and then continue unabated in a postmodern world would be there ferocious fast-paced attacks. Don't get me wrong, love Romero, love "The Night of the Living Dead" , "Zombie" & "Zombie 2" but lets face it, slow zombies are for slow people who like slow movies. Period.
Slow for sure! Fast zombies aren't as scarey to me, I just think it's more suspenseful when they are slow. Also, I would pick 20 slow zombies. Cause like if they are slow I'm pretty sure you would be able to have enough time to aim and get a perfect head shot.
I prefer the slow zombies because 1) they're scary in a susspensful way 2)i wouldnt be able to survive if they could run 3)And it logically makes sense that they're slow becasue of their decaying flesh.
But, a friend of mine brought up that maybe zombies in the earlier days of an outbreak maybe be able to pull off some sort of fast pace walk. Max Brooks says that if a big body builder became a zombie, he may be able to have the same strength that he did when he was alive, but every time that force is strained on the muscles they'd just deterierate(sp?) much faster and loses that ability of strength.
so theoretically then, a zombie may be able to get up to a fast-pace walk at first.
I took the clothes from the deceased guard, along with his weapon, a glock 19... my M4 was out, and 9mm is better then nothing. There was a lot of activity down in these corridors.
I walked for days with my buddy, Leo. He took this pic about 3 hours before he was dragged into an empty building and bitten. I killed all four zombies, but it was too late... he began to change and I had to put him down too.
*As i walked down the street, i saw a sign on a door saying (PURE ONE INSIDE, HELP)*
"There's a survivor in this house!' I scream, many of the survivors hear my scream. as i rip down the door, to my surprise, i didn't see a helpless peasent or a ...
