Well If we are talking about when a real zombie outbreak happens and I have the oppurtunities i will have then in that case i will get :
-my fathers machette
-go to the nierest gun shop (500 m) , see what is there and pick.
-if I don't have such an oppurtunity then probably take a shovel , a few big knives , an axe , food and barricade until i figure out what next.
umm, anyone heard of the tavor tar-21?.....very good gun, made by the israeli's....might be a little hard to get, but it's made of metal, easy to maintain, very accurate, very quiet firing, good firepower....but i'm more of an up-close and personal kinda guy.....

I like HatchetMan's style, but i would probably grab my baseball bat and my knives and if i could i would get a .22 rifle or handgun...silent,lightweight,easily obtainable ammunition, and can bring down small game.Hell I'd grab my Dads 9mm or .44 revolver.

What's most effective against a zombie takes a back seat to what I will have available. I own (speaking strictly of firearms) a lever action 30-30, a 12ga Mossberg 500 pump with a long hunting barrel, a .22 pistol, and a low profile (skinny) .380 pistol. I'll be equiped with any combo of these, and my comrades have firearms all of their own.

I'm designing a revolver for a post-apocalyptic world I can't say to much about it right now but I can say that when it's made it will be my pride and joy. I call her The Wild Boar.

Taurus is working on a new line of revolvers that use acp rounds. 9s and 45s. And that type of ammo will b easy to find. Revolvers dont jam.

I'd want a Taurus Judge because it shoots 410 shotgun shells and .45 rounds. It can hold any combination of 410 shotgun shells and .45 rounds up to the maximum of the 5 chambers. But the 410 is extremely weak, though.

410slugs r a beast! I have a 410ga bolt action. Check it out in my pics. I got mag loads slugs bucks. Get one!

revolvers do jam, the ammo can slide forward and keep the cylinder from turning and primers can fall out the back causing a round to not fire. there are more ways a revolver can go from gun to chunk of metal.

It wouldnt be my primary weapon though it be a a .243 or a.22 but thanks for the tip

no problem just disspelling the "revolvers never fail" thing. because as with any gun you will run into malfuntions it's just a unavodible fact that everything will break even the all mighty AK.
