i've noticed recently that no one is mentioning what effects pets can have.......personally, i love dogs and i think they could save your life......yeah, you have to carry some extra supplies.....but they're a great alarm system and if trained and treated well enough they will spend their life for yours in an instant......any thought, comment, or suggestions?
I wonder, is it like dawn of the dead where the zombies will leave the dogs alown, or if it like resident evil when they are worse then the average zomby.
umm, ask someone else.....but from what i hear they either just kill the animals or just ignore them....most likely just kill them......and for a virus to do the exact same thing between species is very rare.....
well i think dogs would be a great idea.they would stop a lone person from going completely mad, and would be a great early warning system.if it passes cross species we're all screwed anyway.mosquitoes would be the end of the human race.
I have a dog and while he might not be the best breed for attacking someone he would be an awesome alert dog. The bigger breeds such as Rotts, Shepherds, Great Danes, Elk Hounds, and Mastiffs would be more effective for protection and better at taking down a human. My dog though has been trained to retrieve and chase small game so in that sense he is already valuable for getting food we might not have been able to catch any other way. He's a goof too and loves to play with my kid as well. My previous dog would have been an excelent zombie hunting dog, he was a Staffordshire Terrier and such a baby until someone tried to hurt me or any other of our family, then it was on!
I used to live with a couple mini-poodles, effective guards, intelligent, playful, and fairly easy maintenance. I would suggest a chihuahua though, lowest maintenance of all. Ive heard they were actually bred that way so that they made good company and an alarm while you could feed them, and a fine meal for when you finally couldn't. Palmeranians (?) are small too, but I think they have more health problems, friend of mine had one with asthma (wtf right?).
