Wow, the age old question of which fire arm is better!
personaly, i love and hate both of them.
the AK 47/74 etc is an amazing powerful rifle, problem for Zeds is its loud, the noise will atract alot of undeed atention, and its not accurate. but its stoping power is crazy!
the m4, or m16 or the ar 15's are a low but decent caliber. perfect for long and close range, very accurate, and they can easily be upgraded and slienced. the ak is universal as well. but the 5.56 round is more common in our neck of the woods.
i say go for a bushmaster m4. or even better the bushmaster ACR.
i love the ak, and in a battle, i'd go for the 7.62 over the 5.56 anyday, but the battle with the undead is a diff story. hope this helps!
Well right now 5.56 is more available. If a Zpoc happens, contrary to popular belief the American government would step in. 5.56 ammo would be pulled from any an every shelf it sat on for the government. At that point 7.62 becomes more readily available. I was talking with a friend, a local gun store owner about these 2 rifles and that's one of the pros he gave to ak in this scenario.
Personally i think that the M16/M4/ACR/AR-15 would be the optimal choice here for the simple fact that when the Zpoc goes down, pickings will be slim, and you are way more likely to find aftermarket mods around for the american weapon as opposed to the AK
Very true. Also gentlemen a kind man on this site showed me an amazing website. ar57 i believe. google it. they take the the top part of the free floating barrel on ar's and m4's and convert them to hold the P90 mags firing 5.7 rounds. its very cool. also, since the clip is on top, the shell casings fall from the old 5.56 mag well. really neat. not a bad round to use for the Zeds, but its an expensive round to find.
Bravo One speaks the truth.
5.56x45 or .223, or fuck it even .22.
Well the AK platform is made in every country, EVEN America. And American manufacture's like "TAPCO" and "ATI" make parts for the AK varent rifles. if Z-day ever happens or any other thing like SHTF situations happen im gonna stick with my AK, its reliable and i dont have to reach out and touch things at the ranges the AR's do, theres no point in having to shoot at 600+ yards if ur not in the military..
Im picking my AK-47 platform rifle, the reason is its reliable, and the fact that i never shot the AR platform so i cant say anything negative about the AR, but even if did, i would still most likly pick the AK.. i think people who comment this should fire one of the two or both to see which they perfer. also if they do they might find out what round they actrally fireXD
