Permalink Reply by Michael T. Douglas on September 5, 2011 at 9:20am Waterways would be good unless they are blocked or you come to a bridge or an overhang. Then zeds could jump off on to the boat. As for large power lines, They are large so they can go over highways, rivers and things like that that could block your way. Best to take routes that no one would think of like back roads and dirt paths, anything that will keep you out of sight.
Permalink Reply by EndlessWarrior on September 5, 2011 at 10:01am hows about through a forest? easy to not be seen there, espeically if you wear camo. If you hold still and are downwind, the zed wont see you. Also, seeing as I live in Maine, ill just ride my bike up to Canada where my aunt lives in a secluded log cabin on a mountian. Shes kinda...umm, insane. she thinks that the cold war is still on and that russia is still trying to bomb us. She has a shelter in her backyard, the entrance of witch is hidden behind a tree. She has a good three years worth of canned fooddown there, along with a solar genorator with the panel on the roof of the house. Ill move up there(she said that if the russians bomb our house she'll let me). Ill hunt for food, like rabbit and deer. We can survive for quite a while, and no zombie can open the door. Eentually, a zed that has seen the entrace will wander off after it sees new prey, like a bird or deer. All raiders will be mostly in the more populated areas, so we should be safe, except in the winter, when they'll look for a place to hunker down. They'll see the cabin, maybe even move in. But the door to the shelter is hidden safely. eventually, I'll climb out and take back the house as they sleep.
Permalink Reply by EndlessWarrior on September 5, 2011 at 9:52am quite simple-get a mountain bike, some extra chains, and a mini pump. Stuff it in your backback, then ride the bike everywhere. Easy to use, silent, can go through forests, easily swerve around zed and cars, and also, if you ride it fast enough, can speed through a crowd of zed without being touched. Stick to less-populated areas, so less chance of hitting a hoard. Walking, peopel can easily mistake you for a zed, but on a bike? zombie dont ride bikes!
