zombie research
i know that you have to destroy the brain to kill a zombie, but what gets me is this.... a zombie is rotting decaying flesh..even though the decay seems to slow down after turning, the brain is rotting along with the rest of the body..if thats the case, why can a bullet in the brain kill a zombie? it seems you should have to totally destroy the brain...ie completely blow it's head off or remove it from the skull or burn the zombie to ashes... whats your opinion?

Well, despite the fact that the government publicly denies the existence of the walking dead, I know they're out there. A friend of mine works in the government's biological weapons testing department. He came up to me one night after dinner at the base. He opted for the Air Force; he wasn't always the healthiest fellow. But that night, he looked terrible: his skin pale beyond belief, eyes wide open, and a small scratch on his arm. When we started talking, he went on this rant about chemical weapons, an old Soviet project, and something called "Project Frankenstein." Before he left, he gave me a big file containing information on Project Frankenstein. The project, as you've guessed, was a study of the nature and physical abilities of the undead. The research stated that the brain, since it contains the highest level of contamination, rots even slower than the body, to the point that the brain is 500% more impervious to ageing than the rest of the body. As for destroying the brain, a single round can do the job because the trauma of the average bullet striking anything's head, even the head of a zombie, will pretty much reduce all of the victim's grey matter to mush. You don't need to destroy the brain per se, you just need to hit it with enough force to scramble the grey matter.

I took the clothes from the deceased guard, along with his weapon, a glock 19... my M4 was out, and 9mm is better then nothing. There was a lot of activity down in these corridors.
eventually I found veggitation again, and a bunker that led to this base... where I was statoned before the outbreak.
I walked for days with my buddy, Leo. He took this pic about 3 hours before he was dragged into an empty building and bitten. I killed all four zombies, but it was too late... he began to change and I had to put him down too.

hokay so you have the high ground and your low on ammo you take your good old pal mr pipe bomb and light him and throw him but he didnt do the damage you wanted what could you have done to do a little more damage.
