Is it certain that a virus is responsible for these outbreaks?
I suppose nothing is certain but Daisywildflower asked a good question.If Zombies keep on rotting,wont they eventually rot away to nothing,or at least rot so much as to not be able to motivate their bodies anymore?

In Indiana it seems to be a blood born infection that kills the living if infected, and then restarts something deep in the brain that is strong enough to have electrons pass over neurons in the brain to drive the basic instinct of man. Motor skills and the desire to breed makes the zombies in Indiana hunt, bite, infect others. See a zombie has no blood flow so there are no actual reproductive organs like a hard cock or a egg to grow inside a healthy womb. Basic human desire to breed makes them hunt down others; to incorporate into the army of the dead. Now since there is no blood flow they eventually hear in Indiana (from what I encountered) that they will in fact rote. So basically the epidemic will survive as long as there is living to be infected. So far I have not scene any animal that has been infected. Now I'm not a scientist I’m just a well prepared supervisor of a call center!

Well SilkE,I know alot of er....shall we say HooDoo people out there that could get a bit pissed about being called "underdeveloped and uneducated"....many of them are quite educated,I assure you.To put in my 2 cents ;I wonder about this virus too.Virus' are notorious for mutating into something new,and our zombies are a bit more slimey looking and long -lived.Mixed with our unique water and weather as well as flora and fauna,who knows what witches brew might be stirred up......

I believe whole-heartedly that this plague is the result of a virus. If this is in fact some witch-doctor's curse, then how does the curse spread with just one bite? And why make the infected simply attempt to devour the living? Why not give them special powers on top of near-invulnerability? I can't think of a voodoo-related answer to any of that. Not only that, but Ihave the testimony of the files my Air Force friend gave me... *sigh*... The day after he gave me those files, I heard that he had been killed by a Delta Force strike team, under the premise that he was selling secrets to terrorist organizations. He loved our country, that's why we both signed up. When they busted in, the After-Action Report states that, given he had no weapons in reach, he threw himself at the team, baring his fangs like an animal. What a load ofshit! He never took off his pistol- never! I just can't help but ask one question: why didn't he do himself in? He knew that as a ghoul he might end up hurting his friends and comrades, and he could never let anyhing do that. Or, at least I thought he wouldn't...

so i was thinking.. in the middle of the outbreak most of us wont have home gyms what are some work outs people can do to maintain there bodies with limited resources. any ideas ??

I took the clothes from the deceased guard, along with his weapon, a glock 19... my M4 was out, and 9mm is better then nothing. There was a lot of activity down in these corridors.
eventually I found veggitation again, and a bunker that led to this base... where I was statoned before the outbreak.
I walked for days with my buddy, Leo. He took this pic about 3 hours before he was dragged into an empty building and bitten. I killed all four zombies, but it was too late... he began to change and I had to put him down too.
