Is there a generic way for making bites and what i mean is kind of a neutral way to start that can be applied to any type of bite you would like to do for example a neck bite/wound or head wounds? Is there a cheap recipe for this, materials you could get at a local grocery store that wouldn't break your wallet? And what if someone wanted to get more advanced on their bites/wounds how would you go about that?
There is a way to make bitewounds with gelatine from the grocery store. This sadly isnt that easy and generic for starters as it may sound. But you may find ear wax in a grocery or a pharmacy, that stuff is similiar to FX wax and can simply add depth to your wound. You can sculpt it directly on your skin by applying it teeth by teeth literally. Makeup i would suggest ask your moms/sisters/friends/anypersonwhoownsmakeup for some basic mkeup. Youll need red, black and flesh tone to blend to wound to your skin. If you want to improve that lookout for LARP store, where they sell these funny foam swords and middle age stuff. The usually sell Latex for about 10 bucks a litre and they also often have a selection of some basic makeup up stuff and most important, mastix (spirit gum) and some makeup water colors are excellent for making wounds.
You CAN add several layers of latex to your wound, the wax btw is easier to handle on a primer of latex, but it also works without and you dont have the problem to get the wax the same color as your skin.Me started with 20 euro for some fx wax, 4 colors and a bottle of fake blood, make up from the dollar store and ear wax and your good to go for much less.
I use normal Stagemakeup, special greasepaint only for latex applications like the pic you was asking how to achieve the fx. The open mouth btw is a mold i csted on a gyspsum head of her
then jsut brushed latex over it and used it. Will start the tutorials soon as my actual job is finished, expect more in the next 2 week.
I was wondering if putting red food coloring in someone eyes would be dangerous/painful... I'd really love to go with the bloodshot eyes look, but hurting my guinea-pi... erm, friends, would be a really bad idea if I still want to have friends at the end of the make up session XD
Theres special eyeblood, its basically just water, gelatine and a lil bit food dye, you can get color pigments from a pharmacy, as far as i know it doesnt harm the eyes, at least the strawberry natural color powder, i wouldnt trust normal bakery food dye for that, but i would ask where you buy it if its absolutely non toxic, and some eye drops would be recommend, even if you use the stage theatre blood, its still really annoying and you shouldnt leave it in the eye for long, better add it again then leave it too long in the eyes, always be carefull and dont use too much. If you love your guinea-pigs, ehh friends, i would skip that thing, its really not a pleasure to have food color in your eyes (except you like pain, then youre good to go).
