Basically i have read a couple of different scenarios about what weapon would be best. I am going with a shotgun. Its unmatched all around. The rounds are easy to find and cheap to buy. The shotgun is easy to maintain. Plus it can make a great bludgeoning weapon when ammo is out. It is also easy to re-load. I also like a M-16 type rifle. It holds many rounds in a easy to reload magazine approx 30 rounds. The bullets are easy to make and reload. they have ok stopping power. You are able to send many rounds down range. It has been proven in combat and mostly you can upgrade it.

One must always have a side arm. I prefer a .40 cal pistol. It holds more rounds than a .45 and way more stopping power than a b.s. 9mm. It has stopping power close to a .45 but the drop off to bullet gained ratio is not much so i go with a .40.

I think that if you say "Sniper Rifle" You are truly a retard! Unless you are a trained professional sniper (and I'm guessing you're not) then dont use it. Even with trained snipers who have had this discussion with me have said that they dont think that it has a place in door to door zombie combat survival. Its way too complicated and not feasible. Sniping should be reserved for a fortified position where your distances, bullet drop ratio, elevation, angle of the shot, your rifle 'dope' are standard and known. Then, all you have to do is add in your wind and barometric pressure (depending on the distance). Sniping a head shot on a still target is hard enough then add in all the other variables, next to impossible for the lay-person. See my blog that i wrote in response to an IDIOT who said that he'd use a 'sniper rifle'. I have too much respect for REAL snipers and know enough about it to assume that I can just put the cross hairs on a zack and just pull the trigger. Sniping is NOTHING like in the video games. Get that through your head! Again I am only talking to a small majority on here. The majority of you all have pretty good heads on your shoulders and are smart. You are constantly surprising me with your ideas. I'm basically talking to the pre-pubescent males who play too many video games and seen too many movies.

Oh yeah. You need a primary weapon. If you just have a bat or a crow bar you'll tire yourself out too much too quickly. Its great if thats all you have or if it's your back up weapon but not a primary.

I want to know what you thing about primary weapons, side arms, and reserve weapons and when you should have them or have them all around or with you. What do you think?

crow bars would be one of the best hand to hand choices. but really anything that you know how to use, like you mentioned with sniper rifles... there would be problems with anything someone is not familiar with.
Great idea. Its strong, hard to break and can be used to get into places! I am a firefighter and we have a tool called the Halogen bar. Its used to get into buildings. What do you think about that one? To be honest i haven't thought of using it until now. Thanks!
i think a good weapon if u have a mic stand use the steel lightweight bar taht holds the mic its light and it can be shortened and itts ment not to bend
Well crow bars arent bad but i wuld prefer to use a katana or some japense made wepon just cause its the best choice to cut threw zombie heads. I also agree wit ur mentioning of the sniper rifles and how if u can or cant use them but im just sayin in a zombie outbreak some people just have a natural talent to use any wepon.
well id only use a 9mm pistol when i hade nothing else to use or my old baseball bat or the old chain saw in the shead :P

Sniper rilfe no way im useing that

(P.S if you have warcraft3 disk or game and it still works i can get you into a great game named Zombie Simulator Its pretty realistic)
Chain saws are definitely NOT the way to go. They're loud, create a lot of splatter (not something you want when dealing with a blood bourne virus), and are unpredictable (unless you're a professional lumberjack). You're better off with a machette or a hatchet.
You don't want a machette, they will just get stuck in the skull. If you manage to cut through the neck, you will just have a biting head rolling around.
They don't get stuck if you keep them sharp. Plus, if you twist it back and forth a little before you pull out, the blade is sturdy enough to slightly widen the wound allowing easy removal.
What you could do is carve whats called blood grooves in it. This lets air and blood escape and you can pull your weapon out. Thats whats on our Marine K-Bar's They are little indentations that go most of the length of the knife. That will stop any stickage. Your blade will pull out nicely. Incidentally, thats how you can tell if a knife is made for killing or a tool.
What do you think about maybe a mini katana. Only as a last resort of course. Its light, strong, and sharp. Plus, as i mentioned below in mark hows comment. They have what's called "Blood Grooves" which let air, blood and guts escape so the blade does not get stuck. Your thoughts...
It's called a fuller, not a blood groove. And it's job is to remove weight from the blade and improve balance. They aren't made to let blood flow.
I hate it when poeple bring up severd zombie heads, Honestly it won't even be able to bite through your shoe if its though enough, Fuckin' Kick it across the room, it can't movie it can only sit thier and snap its jaws, How scary is that?
