So it's pretty much a given that firearms are a must for extending your lifespan during the Zpoc, and of course you need ammo. From what I'm gathering here, most people would just scavenge to find ammo. But I know that some people, like myself, are handy with a press and can manufacture their own. For those people that can, what are your favorite loads?
For my .40 S&W, I use either 7 grains of Hodgdons TiteGroup or 5 of Clays Universal in winchester brass and CCI small pistol primers. For bullets, I use Hornady XTP/HPs in either 155 or 180 grain varieties.
6.8 SPC is 24 gr of IMR 4198 with either Winchester or Silver State Armory brass. The brass can handle either small rifle or large rifle primers, depending on what kind i get, but usually I get Ferderal Match primers. Bullets are 110 gr Hornady V-max, or 115 gr Sierra HPBT.
For the 25-06. I use 54 gr of IMR 4831 in Winchester brass with Fed Match primers. Bullet is a 100 gr nosler partition.
Haha. The best round I can make right now is the .25-06. I can get sub MOA groups at 150 meters (which is almost CQB for this cartridge, lol), and velocities that peak at just over 3150 fps. You should see what it does to woodchucks. XD
