Ricci, there are ZOMBIES. anyone who would urt us, probably doesn't care about their own safety much. if they try to find us, they get eaten. If they don't, how would hey hurt us? it's a win-win.

We have been working tirelessly for days to establish a protected route to the plentiful and renewable resource areas near Edison. We started by moving south along the river, fencing off the shore and through ways until we reached the park. From there we began hunting down the shufflers in the area so that we could salvage the hardware from the surrounding homes to make a sturdy wall around the main recreational area. The high fence around the jogging track and tennis courts really helped. Once we reached the far end of the park (in about a week) we started clearing and walling off the main road, Astoria Blvd. Along that road there are grocery stores, diners and fast food joints, all of which have working freezers and ovens, as well as large stashes of food. It took us almost two weeks to close off every way into the stores and street that we could find, but now we have about two and a half miles of road and open space that has been cleansed and closed in. I think this will help as our colony grows, we were already starting to out grow the space that the power plant had offered us.

As my team went about expanding our borders, Joshua and his new friend April have been continuing the fortification of our walls in and around the power plant. April arrived about 10 days ago, and she has proven very helpful. Her sharp mind for strategy coupled with Joshua's considerable strength and leadership skills have made things move very quickly. Today I am planning to survey their work on the facility. If it is complete to my liking, I will ask them if they have the energy to move on to our new walls and fences. They work well now, but they will need plenty of fortifying if they are to last. We caught a dead one gnawing on a wood plank near a sizable gap in one of my southern fences, trying to get in. This new development needs to be addressed, but my attentions must return to the main facility.

Our ammo and firearms stash in slowly growing, and next week I am organizing a little trip to the Ditmars blvd. police station to see if we can gather more. So far we have built seventeen small guard towers and we have a fair number of residents who have proven skillful with a rifle. Nobody has refused a task asked of them yet, so we have plenty of guards and patrols for the space we have spread to.

The next stop is still food cultivation and our journey to the precinct. Let's hope w can make it another week without losing anyone, we have been lucky thus far.

Looks like george's got a good safe house going in NYC, but up north its a bit harder to find them. Ive been lucky as hell keeping an internet connection, and this laptop is just dead weight otherwise. If anyone knows about a good or even fair defensive point/military instalation around albany, maybe I can survive.

I finally got enough work done to merit taking a break and typing a little bit. Since my old neighbors and I arrived at the Con Edison power station, we have done an incredible amount of work. The local survivors (and there are a shocking amount of them, it turns out) have been trickling in slowly but surely to help with construction or take sanctuary. We have the primary generators online, but most importantly we have the energy storage units in full working order. There is a small amount of decay over time, as is the case with any battery, but if we only run the generators long enough to fill the storage units when they need it this place could theoretically be generating enough electricity to support a large community for years to come. I have about twenty able bodies working on fortifying the outer gates. Joshua, one of my old neighbors, is overseeing that very well. The old apartment complex next door is providing us with plentiful construction supplies, but we will have to do something about the overhangs at the top, they would be a very easy entry point for a freshly turned corpse... something with a little problem solving sense left in it.

The next step is food cultivation and establishing a semi-safe supply route. I will be heading up the latter. If we figure out a basic path that leads to some good old shoppes, I think we can barricade the connecting streets and make the route generally safe.

being out on the streets, i have been passing out flyers to other survivors, trying to spread the word. sometimes i see them join, but sometimes i assume they must not have made it to a safehouse. as a member of the LZ street team my first goal is to stay safe and alive, my second goal is to spread the word of the site.

The base URL tag in the address for that page is different from the BBC Network's actual site. It is a very convincing recreation of the site that most likely uses the actual site's XML feed to update the hotlinks and navigation information to match that of the BBC's site. All in all, it's an impressive forgery, but the heavy use of the term "Zombie" and the fact that this hasn't been reported in any other forum should be enough aside from the url to point to it's false origins.

Very nicely done though!
