when choosing your weapons to battle the hords of the undead get something light weight, duriable, quiet and could kill a zombie in one or two hits,my choice(crowbar)is curved design makes it easy to grip, the shapened end makes a good tool to shove through the eye socket and it can help pry doors,or move heavy objects.

This is my list:
1.FN FS2000 HH-2-13-Bullpup semi-auto assault rifle or MSAR bullpup, short scope attachment (i personaly like the bull pup style)(Bullpup is a firearm configuration in which the action and magazine are located behind the trigger. This increases the barrel length relative to the overall weapon length, permitting shorter weapons for the same barrel length, saving weight and increasing maneuverability. It alternatively allows for longer barrels on weapons of the same length, improving muzzle velocity. Higher muzzle velocities result in flatter trajectories, a longer effective range, and, in some cases, increased lethality.)

OMG!
ok the list is a pretty good list(that is if you could get your hands on the weapons)...but do you think you could really carry everry thing on your list cause that is a shit load of equipment to have to carry on your back.
the FN 2000 is made by FN-FAL the gun your thinking of is the ster aug micro tech in florida is making now in pistol calibers using glock mags. the FN 2000 is a 223 and even though it is neat and I do know of one shop here in town that has one , I would stick with an AR or 22lr you have a better shot at finding replacement parts for a ar on the run then a gun no one is selling , still it is cool but my wife would never let me buy one i get sick thinking of what I would have to do .
Well put. I'll admit that I know less technical specs than you, but your reply was informative and useful. Maybe I can get your thoughts on my own setup insofar as firearms are concerned:

I myself have a Beretta CX4 Storm that takes Beretta 92fs clips (thats right, 9mm, don't laugh) My experience thus far with this weapon is that it is extremely accurate up to about 30 yards which is the point at which I would begin to engage ZACH anyway from a defensive position and only long enough to get away. Since the clips between the 92fs and CX4 are interchangeable, I have some flexibility in how I want to dispense my ammo. I have Seven 15+1 mags for the handgun and Seven 32+1 extended magazines for the CX4. Since 9mm is stocked in every gun shop and Wal-Mart in the country, I have a decent chance of restocking. Right now, my rig is set up to carry my Glock 22 but I'm switching it out with the Beretta for the reasons described above...thoughts?
dude, be reasonable, use what you can, list what you already HAVE with you. nobody in the US is gonna have access to a .50 cal handgun, much less , any other weapon of that caliber, and where are you gonna get blasting caps? all i have access to LEAGALLY,is two .38 revolvers,a couple .22 rifles, a .22 revolver, and a .223 ruger mini 14, just be resonable, when zombies attack, i'm going to take my minigun, and m60 and kill 'em all!
.50's are legal in the U.S.
don't qoute me but he probably means in california and it isnt the 50 ae round that was banned it was the 50 cal rifle round that california thinks will end life as we know it. but danny hits the nail on the head with the 22lr and mini 14 good choice
remember, this is for the world, not just the US
wtf are you talking about? in the US you can own any gun you want I mean after all we do have the 2nd ammendment
Good Christ, I hope you work out. By the by, thanks for supporting the assault rifle too, buddy!
I myself have a rather nice kit and I see that we have many items in common which makes me feel a great deal more comfortable in my own choices.

I would dispense with the explosives, gas mask, half the clothes, trenchcoat and two of the paint colors.

Reasoning:
The explosives are not likely to gain you anything since the time it takes to stop and use them is time wasted while you dig them out of your pack.

It seems a lot of folks are going for gas masks, which are really only useful if it's an airborne virus or chemical weapon in which case civilians are terribly ill equipped to deal with anyhow.

Clothes. You can get by on less than 6 sets of clothes. Concentrate mainly on socks and underwear. Clothes will get ripped and dirty during prolonged outings. you are better off limiting your kit to bare essentials to conserve weight and thus energy...

Trenchcoat...if it's cold that concerns you there are many lightweight undergarments (base-layers) that will protect you from the cold better than a trenchcoat and sunglasses. Don't forget also that your trenchcoat is easier to tangle and therefore less than appealing as a protective garment..

Paint. A good idea, but clearing buildings and checking for survivors should be done as a group in which case everyone can have a different can of paint limiting the load to less than one per-person...

Believe me when I say that the setup I'm wearing in my picture is as heavy as a motherfucker and I have less than half of what you describe. On top of that, I have a pack as well with spare ammo and other items. The pack will add another 50 lbs easy and I'm already wearing a good 25 in that rig. After that picture, I started slimming down my equipment...

Don't worry about the number of pockets on your pack. Compartmentalize with zip-locks and such and then just familiarize yourself with where everything is. Pockets can get messy and hard to deal with if your under stress. Don't pack anything in there you'd need to dig for in an emergency...
