Can you pull the trigger?
Many people say they would kill a zed given the chance, but think for a moment. That was a person, someone who talked, breathed, ate, slept... For some they may never really pull the trigger.
Here is a test, if you have a family pet that you love walk up to it and kick it as hard as you can go for a goal of 5 feet...
A sibling brother or sister doesn't make a difference, and jab him or her in the eye hard go for the eye patch look...
Still think you can do it? When it comes down to it a zed maybe someone you don't know, someone you just know, a nieghbor, a freind, a boyfriend or girlfriend, a family member. It boils down to, are you willing to kill anyone?
Give me your thougts and ideas, have a question ask not only me but anyone else we are all in the same boat really.

I say i could kill a zombie.
Because in my eyes after there bit and changed into zombies there not really people anymore.

Have you done one of the tests yet? Im just joking, I have come to a conclusion that its not the visual, its the memories of a certain person that would make it hard or even impossible to pull the trigger. The mind is an one of the must unknown expanses to a being, it is predicted to have unlimited capabilities. Do we have someone from the military here thats willing to share their first kill? Its something my father has never told me and said he never would talk about, he fought in Vietnam. He had said it was one of the worst places he could think of cursing upon someone and still says that.
The memories you have of someone is usually something you look for in other people, a way they act, smile, dress, smell... its the thoughts of others that slow reactions. You meet a zombie you guess to be in his 60 'Hey my dad is 65...', he is kinda on the plumper side, 'So is my dad...', he is slightly balding, 'So is my dad...' before you know it that zed is almost able to touch you. Its the feeling and memories for others that may stop someone from ever pulling the trigger, even in a doomsday event everyone can not simple just shut their emotions off.

The memories I have aren't good ones.
They're not going to make me pause.
I have small problems a day after. It takes me about a day to get over them.
I think your conclusion is accurate.

yea i could do it after the way things have gone i thought kiklling just to prove i will do what it takes to survive the worst that happens is some does me a fav and puts me down before i can

this is the thing, its kill or be killed. even if ur family endsup being zombies there gonna eat u or u can kill them, hell if u have a problem with that run away, but u may have a zombie that u never knew try to eat u and most likely u may end up killing them because u dont know who they were. I wouldnt have a problem with killing a family member that was a zombie, because deaths and such have no effect on me. I've never cried at a funeral of a family member or friend so i think i would just put them outta thier misery of being a zombie.

Could I pull the trigger?? a tricky question, would I be able to pull the trigger to put down a threat to my family? Yes.. would I be able to pull the trigger if the zed is one of my own? my head says yes,but my heart is saying no. I would rather know that someone I loved is dead then being a zed. Would I have the heart to take one out before the transformation? No... I would rather sit and watch and make sure.... they come back then I would send them to the eternal rest.

I have killed 17 zeds. My grandfather made sure all of his family could. After what he witnessed in WWII, he swore his family would be ready.

i believe i could kill a random zombie very easily..the only thing that will be difficult is your first kill and any of my friends and family members. but after those are finished with the rest of the zombie hordes will be very easy to deal with.

omg i think i wouldn't be able to do it maybe to a random zed but if i knew the person i don't think i could cause i did the animal one and i am crying right now i just wanna hug it and pet it and say sorry and don't say i'm a pussy cause i love my little kitty cat

OOC: WHOA!! where did that come from?
I took the clothes from the deceased guard, along with his weapon, a glock 19... my M4 was out, and 9mm is better then nothing. There was a lot of activity down in these corridors.
eventually I found veggitation again, and a bunker that led to this base... where I was statoned before the outbreak.
I walked for days with my buddy, Leo. He took this pic about 3 hours before he was dragged into an empty building and bitten. I killed all four zombies, but it was too late... he began to change and I had to put him down too.
