The zombie virus spreads the same as HIV, and any other blood-borne disease. What kind of armor should you wear, to make sure that none of the "pink mist" or any of that stuff gets into your body, either through your eyes, mouth, open sore, any of that? Or should you even have to worry about it?
id say best bet is to cover. if you are un injured you face is number one. id try a mask that you can see out of well. id do a paint ball of airsoft mask.
Evendtually, there WILL be a melee, you can't count on ranged weapons alone, and when there is a melee, if you can't keep the zombie's blood or saliva out of your eyes, mouth, or any open sore, you might as well have gotten bit accept from the pain of it.
I'd like everyone to take note, that I have already solved this problem with a ski mask with papertowel taped over mouth, skiing goggles, and water tight winter gloves.
The reason I posted this disgussion is that I don't want people to think they are prepared, only to turn into a zombie even though they were never bitten. Everyone should prepare for this.

My solution: a gas mask. vision is not as restricted as you would think and it protects your entire face with just one piece of equipment. as far as hands go just wear thick leather work gloves and put tie off the ends with something and wear a leather jacket. leather is meant to keep your body from getting scratched up (or bitten for that matter). it will add a lot more protection and less worry if you do have to get in close range with a zombie.
I took the clothes from the deceased guard, along with his weapon, a glock 19... my M4 was out, and 9mm is better then nothing. There was a lot of activity down in these corridors.
I walked for days with my buddy, Leo. He took this pic about 3 hours before he was dragged into an empty building and bitten. I killed all four zombies, but it was too late... he began to change and I had to put him down too.
*As i walked down the street, i saw a sign on a door saying (PURE ONE INSIDE, HELP)*
"There's a survivor in this house!' I scream, many of the survivors hear my scream. as i rip down the door, to my surprise, i didn't see a helpless peasent or a ...
