Yes but at the start of an outbreak geting your hands on millitary any thing will be harder then hell. As everything colapses what is left of the millitary are going to be fighting for their lives. So walking in to rec. some hardwear is going to get you shot. It does not matter that they have more than they need they wont help you just as if the roles were revirst you would not help them.
The zombie survival guide had a text about armored trucks. they can be good for plowing through shit if they get enough momentem for them, but i'd stick to something more fuel efficent. remeber how clogged roads will be and how big an armored truck is.
Armored trucks by the way of desing have a better turning radies than most. Yes the 50 gal. tank does burn up quick. I not saying that it is a perfect vehicle just better than a ford feista. Plus I can really get my hands on one.
if u can go for it. I'll keep in mind what u said about at the start of an outbreak how it'll be hard to just waltz into a military base and get one. I'll just c how long i can last without one and when stuff dies down, and i last that long, I'll get a hold of one. I always picture a bank or swat armored car when its mentioned so thanks to broading my horizions. And when i get one i'll be plowing through zombies screaming AMERICA FUCK YEAH!!!!! lol
thats the problem is waiting. how many other survivers well go to a military base in search of weapons, and supplies and end up coming across a tank, bradly, or any other type of military transport.
i would take my Armada. v8 engine, 26 mpg, fits 8, foldable backseats for storage space and can haul a trailer if needed. 4x4 capabilty, and a nice stock system. atleast i can stay entertained on the run, which is a big pet peev of mine. the only problem would be how much gas would be left after a month of chaos, since ii'm kinda sticking it out here
