Im Still Alive!
It all started a 10 days ago it was a hot muggy night like any summer night here, I being an insomniac was listening to some music and trying to fall asleep around 3 am when I heard the sirens off in the distance, It didn't really faze me much at the time but then there were more and more and then what sounded like some small explosions off in the distance, thats when the warning sirens from the plants started to go off and I was starting to get worried. I went and I closed my windows and door thinking there had been something released from the Valley or something had exploded. I turned on the T.V. to see if there was anything on there but all I got was static, and that's when the power went out. I turned on the radio that I had and listened as a frantic radio jockey was telling tales of explosions in the plants and people attacking other people and ripping them into pieces. I had listened to these reports for a couple of hours then the sun was coming up and the radio went silent... my batteries had died. I was lost and confused I wasn't sure what was going on outside. I decided I needed to go investigate by the time I decided to leave my apartment it was about 10 am, I left my apartment and walked down the seven stories to main floor where I was met with other people covered in blood and crying, they told me not to go outside it was like a war zone out there... I went to the door and I could see people attacking other people and it seemed like something out of a horror movie the blood and gore made me instantly sick to my stomach. I decided not to leave and head back upstairs to my apartment. Once inside I barricaded my door, I didn't want what ever was going on out there to come in here.
Like I said its been 10 days, and still there is no power, the streets have gotten quieter from what i can tell and so has my building. I'm lucky to have just gone grocery shopping and have a fairly well stocked cupboard of can goods but I still only have enough food left for maybe a week or 2 at most. I haven't heard anything from inside my building for a while its been at least a day since I heard any screaming or people running in the hall way I haven't seen anyone on any of the balcony's around me. I couldn't be the only person still in this building? All i can see from my balcony is an empty street and the forest across the field across the street. If only I had an apartment on the otherside of the building that looks over the city I would have more of an Idea of whats going on.
I haven't heard anything on the radio in 3 days all I get is static and same with the TV. The last reports on the radio were reports that the dead were rising and seeking the flesh of the living. They also say that its like a virus and once you have been infected you will soon die and then return as well, they don't know what has caused this but a lot of people were saying that it was something released from the plants that they had been developing for something.
In case your wondering how if there is not power I can run my laptop or the TV or the radio, I was lucky enough to have my solar panel that I use to run my fish finder and my marine deep cycle battery from my boat. I always keep them in my apartment because it would most likely get stolen if I left it in the boat at the storage parking place.
My internet in my apartment wasn't working but my Cell Card for my laptop is still working amazingly considering that I cant make calls on my cell phone but somehow the satellite internet is still working.
Anyways I know I cant stay here much longer and it seems like things are getting quieter outside so I will probably make a break for it sometime soon but I don't know where to go or how I'm going to get there.
I Hope someone reads this and can reply I have no clue who's alive and who's not. I feel alone and isolated I just need to know that there's others still out there.
I need to go now my battery is dying and needs charging. Ill be keeping a lookout to see if there is anyone else out there.
