The Radio Outbreak

So me and my brother Liam are in our own zombie outbreak right now and happened to uncover a HAM Radio. No, you dont eat it! We switched across a few channels and eventually heard somebody else. It turns out that these broadcasters are being chased by zombies themselves and are somewhere in the east coast of Maine. Their names are Emeril, Alphonse, Judie, David and Adam. They mentioned that there were originally 7 of them but two were attacked and eaten by the zeads. The group of 5 were having a nice camp out when suddenly "several groaning crippled people began attacking the tents." They all escaped on the first encounter, but a woman named Susie was ripped apart just a little while later from a surprise attack when some zombies hid behind a boulder and ran out. Then a man named Ed got bitten by another several hours later and they had to kill him when he became a zombie. They say that they are out in the wilderness and have very limited supplies, only some food and a single gun. They plan to get to the police station before it's too late. What will be the fate of these main Maine (:D) survivors? We have yet to find out....

--Update, July 1st 2008--
I got back into contact with the Maine zombie encounterers, and they say that they have made good progress through the woods and are only a few miles away from the nearest town, but with a sacrifice. Emeril just got scratched and they believe that will infect him just like bites, but apparently it takes longer. They are starting to notice that his behavior has changed from normal to somewhat odd to very disturbing, including scratching all around his body incredibly fast, staring deeply into other's eyes with a wicked, evil face, and spitting like crazy. They say that they'll camp out tonight (which I think is a bad move) and one will check on Emeril for a few hours then shift. They think if they work hard enough they'll be able to get to the town by evening tommorow. I wish them luck, and, survival.

--Update July 21st--
Now out of Area 64 and in a motel in Reading, I picked up another message from the Maine zombie survivors. Only David and Alphonse are still alive. They told us that they gave their report to the police but obviously they didnt believe them, even though already there have been 2 other reports of zombies. Alphonse told me that they have decided to leave the town and leave the whole state.
Also they told us what happened to their now zombified friends. Emeril died and became a zombie, who apparently attacked and killed a dozing Judie. Then with the two zombies in hot pursuit of the last three, a house came into view by the edge of the woods. They banged on the door but apparently the residents were either in deep asleep, already dead or out somewhere. They say they started to hear even more groanings and decided to try to break into the house. They manage to bust open the door and try to make a barricade but they aren't fast enough to stop zombies Emeril and Judie. With no shotgun they try to improvise but they dont have a wholoe lot. Adam starts to fist fight Emeril and got what was coming to him. Emeril pounces and starts to rip the poor fellow open. With the two zombies distracted, Alphonse and David keep running for it. They run for at least 4 hours until they finally arrive into the very small town of Jellard. No zombies in sight. Thats where they got to the police department. Let's pray that Maine will be able to fend off the undead!

--Another Update--
Alphonse is dead. David got out of Maine alive and is the only one of the original group left. Apparently the zombies entered the town and started killing everybody. They got surrounded and the two fought with anything they could find. David said that first Al got bitten in the shoulder then they started to rip off skin on his back then chewed off some of his neck and that was the last he saw of his buddy before he was completely covered. David found a car and got out of there as fast as possible. David said that he planned to go to Pennsylvania but I told him that wasn't a good idea right about now so he went down to West Virginia. What will be the ultimate fate of Maine? Only time will tell.
