Hey there, just found this site...I would be happy to help anyone who needs advice on costuming and stuff....very skilled at sewing, distressing, creating crafted items(like body part props to have laying around), and have some makeup experience....not prosthetics...just bruises, blood and flesh

Hullo all,
This community seems a tad inactive, but maybe some of you still check it. Hope springs eternal!

I write, direct, and act, as far as my talents go. I'm a fan of dark humor, and I have a scream that's been called "blood curdling."

Equipment I have to contribute to a project: a shut gun mic, lots of minidv tapes, possibly a JVC MiniDv camera, but that's not for sure because I can't find the charger, and my computer for editing. I don't have great editing software, just Windows Movie Maker, but I have space for footage.

I live in Paso Robles, CA.

Let's collaborate!

Hey, i have some professional editing software, and after effects cs4
i am an editor for a small news group, still working on getting videos up, its slow but it is comming along
anyway, i want in, i want to help this doc anyway i can, if you need special effects added to you video and don't have the tools yourself, e-mail the raw footage to me and what you want to do with it, also, i am going to submit some of my own stuff as well, i also love to film

but i would like to know, who are the professional editors and videographers on this website, we should ban together to teach our friends, anything they want to know about filming and editing

i am new, so i need friends as well

I will be shooting a short Zombie video clip to submit to your Zombie documentary. Need to know is there a deadline for submissions? Also if chosen do we need signed releases for all people in the clip even if they are not part of the crew and cast?

My friend and I are at the beginning stages of filming a short based on the ideas of my two videos. If things go right we hope to send our film to different competitions coming up in summer, Wish us luck!

Just a thought but, I like the idea of a simple time line, zombie guidelines for behaviour and no explanation why. That leaves us all with creative freedom to shoot what and who we want and can, basicly how people are coping with the crisis in there community, and then let everyone or a committee (prob the ones who concocted this whole concept) pick on the ones that fit.
I remember the k.i.s.s. rule from first semester film and video classes - keep it simple silly... or stupid, whatever you prefer.
I think everyone in a first week or month timeline would be a perfect start, and the "living dead romero" style zombies are characteristics most people or would be actors we can beg to be in it, would be familiar with.
