Well the start of the plan is simple. Survive the initial onslaught. That being said time to move on to the details.

I'm already prepared (along with my roommate) with a shotgun, a .45, and will be getting a 9mm within the next few weeks. Along with that we have multiple melee weapons including machetes, katanas, US Army style tomahawks, and the always trusty baseball bat. For clothing I'm sticking to steel toed military issue combat boots, good fitting jeans not too loose but not tight, dark tshirt and leather motorcycle jacket. I have a back harness for one of the katanas, a drop leg holster for a handgun, and belt sheaths for my Ka-bar and tomahawk. There are multiple old model trucks that are easily hotwireable and I have my car if all else fails. Granted vehicle transportation is risky as roads will be congested but given a good truck and the short distance of travel on land that my plan involves I don't think it'll be a problem. Most logical first stop will be an gun and ammo store. Load up on weapons and ammo. Granted there may be trouble with the store owner but given some negotiations I'm sure we can find a store and an owner willing to help out if not come with (if he causes trouble later on, just shoot him, only show sympathy for friends and family, stragglers are expendable).

Next stage of the plan is get to the coast. I live in a fairly large city, obviously want to get out fast. The nearest coastline is approximately 45 minutes by road without traffic. A safe judge would be making that a 2-3 hour trip. Once on the coast I have multiple friends already ready to go with boats. Few smaller craft and a few larger ones. Also there are many marinas including one on a military installation in that town of which will be easy to access. The yatch club will not be a high security point and it's only protected by a 5ft brick wall.

Once we've gathered the boats the plan is to head north on the east coast to a town about 2 hours by road and estimating about a day travel by boat. In that town there is a few historical forts one of which is on the water. Plan to anchor a few hundred feet off shore and use that fort as a rendevous point for our other members of our group that didn't make it to the boats in time. We will wait out for a few days there either in the fort or on the boats. After a maximum of ten days we begin our travels north. We'll tow 2-4 jetskis behind the larger boats to use as runabouts and to make shore trips for fuel and food and other supplies. We'll keep a distance of about 5 miles off the coast so we can see the shore but be out of range of even the largest of commercially available rifles (the .50cal Barrett has an effective range of about 2200 yards and total range just over 3000, a 5 mile distance will be significantly out of range). We will travel north around the tip of Maine and New Brunswick. Following the waterways we'll make our trek towards inland Canada. Our final destination will be northern Ontario. There's a place I used to vacation with my family. The nearest town is 15 minutes away with a population of 300. Within 6 hours driving in any direction you will encounter at most 50K people. Nearly complete isolation. It is here we will establish our base and begin our new civilization. There are plenty of lakes in the area, large lakes with scattered islands. Plenty of perfect natural protection. Large fresh water supplies. Many farms with which we can either scavenge from or make trade agreements with the owners as in such a remote location they'll be just trying to survive as well.

This is the plan. Obviously there may be a few hitches in it, problems may arise such as medical needs and the such but this is a basic overview. I don't try to plan to meticulously because in emergency situations plans fall apart and if you're too stuck on a single plan then you risk not being able to cope with changes.

This is very well thought out, and pretty solid. But, one question. Why would you want to be outside of the range of a rifle? If you were in the range of the shore, you could stop the zeds before they have a chance to reach your vessel.
1:definitly get more guns

2:don't wait the last minute then go raid the local gun store because chances are its going to be very well defended against looters even if you try it peacefully youll probably be mistaken for a looter and shot on site.

3:getting out of a city is good but hitting up the local marina probablywon't work because ur in a city and most of the general popuacewill be flocking to such an area seeking to avoid danger by traveling out to sea.even if yo do find a boat you probably wont have the skills required to jack one.i know i don't.not to mention gas and waterbourne ghouls.

4:a historical fort may not have a lot of supplies and there might be another survivor group there. but i mean its a good idea most people would not even consider.

5:just try to get "up north". most peoples zombie survival plan involve going up north.millions of people will travel up north to seek refuge from the zombies.this will cut short all supplies up north and unwillingly draw the zombie horde up there.

your plan is much more complex than mine but relies much more heavily on chances.i hope ive helped you critique this like im supposed to.

I'm assuming you are talking about cottage country on Georgian Bay or in around that area up the 400.  I don't want to burst your bubble but I do want to give you a little bit of a geography lesson here.

You will have to travel through the St Lawrence Sea Way which is a series of locks designed for 100 000 tonne+ ships.  That means giant steel gates operated by heavy machinery.  Considering you make it through the sea way you will end up in Montreal the second largest city in the country at 1.6 million people, then down the 401 through Kingston population 120 000.  Kingston is home to Canadian Forces Base Kingston, mostly a training facility but still has armed and trained military personnel on base.  It is also home to the country's largest maximum security prison.  Next major stop along the way... Belleville population 50K and home to the largest military base in the country.

Assuming you've made it this far you have a choice.  You can head north up the 62 for two hours to Bancroft (its a small town of 3800) and then cut across the province on the 118 for another two hours and you will be in the Bracebridge which is only 15 000 people.  At that point you will be on the edge of the Muskokas, which is like I said, I'm assuming you are heading, and I'm guessing that you'll only have another couple of hours driving to get where ever it is you're heading.

Your other option is to follow the 401 to the 400 then head north, of course that means you would be passing another CF Base in Trenton and through the most densely populated area of the country with people numbering in the 10s of millions.

I would just like to point one last thing out.  I am from Ontario and I know the area fairly well that you are talking about.  As a matter of fact I have friends up there and I used to summer there as well.  The people in that region are all very hearty hunters and fishermen.  By the time the remains of your party get there I'm sure they will have the situation well in hand and already be fortified.  They are friendly and will most likely be willing to take you in or help you out.  Just don't expect to walk into a deserted area and take or do what you want.

Oh and pack some warm clothes odds are you won't make it there before the end of summer and it gets cold up there in the fall and winter.

I hope I didn't come across as too much of an ass, but I had to point this out to you.  I've here Americans with plans like this all the time and I just wanted you to be aware of what you are getting yourself into.

Well initially it seems like a good plan but you`re overlooking some important details. Firstly rethink your weapons loadout, each member of the group should have one melee weapon and a firearm, I recommend the katana, baseball bat and the machete but not the tomahawks, they will work well getting through the skull but pulling them back out is going to be difficult. Focus on ammo instead of carrying more guns because more guns are bulkier and heavier than a few boxes of ammo. But i do agree with the holsters and leather jacket, leather is a tough material and human teeth have trouble penetrating it (as long as the leather isn`t pierced or torn the saliva can`t enter your wounds and you won`t be infected)

Secondly don`t even think about going to the gun store, you`re right that it is the obvious first stop but that`s why you should avoid it, the gun store owner will either have barricaded themselves in and be shooting intruders or it will be abandoned and will have been completely looted, so stock up before the outbreak is on your doorstep. Besides your gun list above was good the only addition I`d make is a long distance rifle.

Thirdly, the boats are a good idea as long as you are guaranteed to get one, but remember a lot of people are also going to think of taking boats to escape so be sure to get there while there are still boats in port and have a backup plan if you don`t. Also remember that your boats shouldn`t rely only on fuel, as fuel is finite, make sure you can also sail of paddle it and use fossil fuel as a last resort. Also be sure to defend your anchor line from zombies attempting to climb up and to scan the shore before you send out a scouting team.

Fourthly, a historical fort is not something that is easy to maintain. In the past it was run by an entire army, so be sure to have a sizable party when trying to hold it, you`ll need the numbers. Also take into account the distance you will be travelling, so make sure you stock up and have plenty of supplies when you leave, and be sure to pack wilderness gear for your shore parties, you won`t be able to stop and raid major cities (they`ll be too heavily infected) and you may need to hike a ways inland to reach the small towns.

As a final thought I think that you should move you`re place of retreat a little more out of the way, a lot of refugees will be heading north and will have zombies following them, so the farther off the map you are the better.

So like I said the initial plan is a good one but as any good artist will tell you it`s all about the details and overlooking them could prove fatal, you need to consider the possibilities

if the powers out in the north in the winter you will freeze to death.

solid but immeasurably short sited you get up there even if you packe d"warm clothes your realise it will get really damn cold and if you get snowed in youll die fast from malnutrition (in an emergancy food literally disapeers you will die befor you can say a griefer took my food...
