frozen look.... i use salt crystals, rock salt latex on a greyish/blue skin. PVA glue dries clearish, so dose hot glue gun, glue, for frozen 'drips'

the trick was acetone to remove some of the waterproofing.
i would not recommend the plastic pants on a hot day! lol i could hardly walk afterwards.. i stuffed shells with sponge soaked in glue to make them say on, there was a big one on my back i sewed through the sponge and the jacket.

I can imagine it would be hard to stain. I was actually gonna do a similar kinda thing for a zombie, but with a ripped up life-jacket and made to look frozen and covered in barnacles. however, i didn't know how to do that xD
By the way this costume is absolute win. good job.

ooooh the hook was my inspiration for the whole costume.
when i saw it i knew what i was going to be a fisherman. its kinda hard to see because of the hood but i had barnicles on one side of my face. the panys and jacket were around $30 second hand took ages to stain them being water resistant plastic :P
