With a gas-piston there are no problems with fouling getting in the works of the gun, that means less cleaning. I think a piston gun will work fine when it gets dirty.

I heard something similar to that. The US government was looking for a new rifle and that a whole bunch of company's like Healer and Koch and Remington were throwing in some of their new rifles to get a contract with the US Army.

The military held a contest to try to find a replacement for the M4/M16 family. They did a dust test and there were a few good guns. Each weapon fired, I believe 10,000 rounds. I don't remember all the guns tested, but I do remember that none of the gas-piston guns jammed more than 400 times during the test. The M4 jammed almost 900 times.

Mmmm... I do have more guns than shoes now that I think about it, but I still dont think that would qualify me as rendeck still lol.
