well this stuffs pretty thin so it does flex pretty well. and i try to use layered pieces to give it even more flexibility. i haven't really pounded on it yet but does tend to dent i know that. I'm probably going to end up lining the inside of it with felt or something both for comfort and to guard against cutting. and i'm toying around with the metal over leather armor if i can ever find a source for thick leather. i cant find the stuff any where.

Excellent effort, and I see the Asian influence. My question would be how well does it disperse the impact of a blow, and does it deform under impact. My big problem with metal is that it doesn't flex. Although runners don't punch or kick they can run into you at speed, which will dent a metal shell causing it to deform and dig into you. Also I worry about metal edges. Just me but I stay away from metal. Still it is a pretty set you have going on. I will watch with interest as you progress.

yeah i know what you mean. i focused on armoring only the places i felt were most exposed to a zed bite.  neck, forearm and shines how ever right now i only got neck fore arm and a shoulder piece built. I'm gonna completely armor my non dominant arm so i can keep a zed at bay if i have to counter strike. heck why don't i just show you what i got.

I suppose I could do a lamilar style total coverage thing but my primary concern is to allow myself an ability to survive a blitz attack from the side or rear long enough to escape without being bitten or splashed with infected byproducts. This armor is designed to be quiet, very light, easy to disinfect, and to allow freedom of movement. If I were going to go into a chest to chest fight, and I think only an idiot would do that, I would probably use different materials.

sounds good hows the maneuverability in it, i notice you had to leave gaps in the joints. I've messed around making my own armor out of light weight sheets of aluminum. only i used more of an Asian design for mine.

automotive gasket fabric two layers of metal screen under three coats of fiberglass. It won't stop a bullet, or even a seriously thrust fighting knife, but nothing smaller than a bear is going to chew through it. It is extremely light and can be rinsed off and sprayed with bleach solution without damage.
