I am 24 years old, married, and step-mother to the most beautiful little girl. I'm getting ready to start my pre-reqs for nursing school. Nursing school scares me for a lot of reasons, but my biggest fear is that I'll be working in the ER of the local hospital. Those ER nurses and doctors are often some of the first to be witness to zombie outbreaks. And my husband is going to school to be a fireman/EMT. I have never had first hand experience with a zombie outbreak, but I've heard things and there's nothing wrong with being prepared.
Weapon of choice for fighting zombies...
At the moment our weaponry is pretty feeble. We have a machete, but until I build up some upper body strength my husband will have to use it. We have some of my fathers shotguns. I feel the most confidant with the shotgun
I'm relieved to find this site. I've tried to tell my friends that zombies aren't just an awesome subject for a movie. They are real, and it's best that you have your survival plan, and/or escape plan ready if or when they hit our town. My husband and I have a plan for our own home, as well as some of the normal places we are on a daily basis. School, work, our daughters preschool.
