Most of the groups on here are pretty inactive. Most people are in the forums, or in the little chat bar on the bottom of the page. There's tons of photos and videos to check out, and more stuff added everyday.
If you hover over "Community" you'll see "Leaderboards." All of the top content goes there. The top 5 most active blogs, photos, videos, and people of the past week. If you want to see active stuff that would be the place to look.
