Sub-Chapter: Rescue

Resting on top of a Hummer tonight. Michael, Katie, and I have divided it up as evenly between us as possible. What a rescue, by the way. Straight outta the movies. We walked to her house and found the door caved in. We found Katie being assailed about twenty dead, including the corpse of her brother. They were pounding on the door of her bathroom. We came in, spade and bat in the air, and beat the living shit out of everything. We opened the door and found Katie sobbing in the corner. Poor…See More

Survival...That's What Counts Pt. 2

Got the call today. I'm still a little iffy on the plan. She said, "We're headin' for the Costco." Seems like a good idea at first. Then you think about the people who're gonna head there as well. And some of them might be infected. But I'm still going. It's probably the best bet for a bunch of teenagers. She said we'll live up in the rafters up in the top. Block the doors with giant bags of rice. Heh. Look at me, trying to be funny during the end of the world. But no, I'm going. Any of the…See More

Basil Maroney replied to JORDAN RICHARDSON's discussion Bicycle or Car?
"Of course, bike. Especially if it's a mountain bike. And the human body can forego luxeries such as power at this point. Unless we're going on the offense. Then car. The noise will attract the undead. btw Don't forget about the…"

Basil Maroney replied to J Madison Willis's discussion Blodd from Zombies - aren't they dead?
"This would depend on the reanimation period. If it's slow, the blood would congeal in various places in the body. Of course, the virus could turn blood into the viscous black substance that Brooks mentions in one of his books."

Basil Maroney replied to Jason's discussion wat about diabetics?!?!
"They will die. In the big picture, this will actually be a boon. If the human race survives, this will weed out the gene that causes diabetes or other health problems like that. We could possibly live in a diabetes-free world (or whatever other…"

Basil Maroney replied to Matthew Rosas's discussion Swine flu, could this be happening
"No. Swine flu is too weak a virus to become that. It's actually not as bad as regular flu. The only reason people are dying from it is because people can't get to vaccinations. This is nowhere near as bad as the Influenza Pandemic in the…"

Basil Maroney replied to Nick S.'s discussion Virus evolution?
"Smarter, stronger, faster, no. One cannot make something from nothing. Natural Law. A mutated virus would most likely let the zombie retain more of its abilities as a human. This would include climbing and being able to beat prey into submission. A…"

Basil Maroney replied to Ethan Nelson's discussion Acting as a Zombie: Fact or Fiction
"Agreed. Zombies don't heal from anything. Dust particles hitting the eyes will scratch them and cause them to cataract over (hope I spelled that right). It will rely on all senses to catch prey. Once its sight has diminished, its other senses…"

Sub-Chapter: Waiting

Posted on November 27, 2008 at 11:00pm 0 Comments

As I sit in this tree, I let my mind start to wonder. I reminise about life and my friends, starting to miss it more and more. I wonder why the Hell this happened, what sort of God or diety or whatever would allow something like this to plague the Earth. Is this how the world is to end? Things like this make a man lose faith. I've just finished this box of Frosted Mini-Wheats. It was only half-full, anyway. As I throw the box to the ground, a stand-up comedy show I saw recently comes to mind.… Continue

Well...It's done. I hated it, but it had to be done. My door doesn't close properly, so it was only a matter of time before Mom and my sisters got in. God, I still think of them as family, even after they...It happened a few days ago. Some jerk wouldn't leave the door step. The power was out, but that was normal for hurricane season. We had no way of knowing. I thought it was weird when I couldn't get cell service, but again, it was storming. Anyway, the jerk wouldn't get off the step, and… Continue
