I am a traitor, or at least I feel like I am. With every step that takes me farther away from the ruins of my former home the feeling that I am somehow abandaning the last little bits of the life I had with my family increases. Its like somehow the small shred of hope I have left is a cell phone and the only tower anywhere near is the burnt out shell of my former home, the farther away i get the weaker my signal becomes. The sun is just now starting to peak over the hills. For about an hour now the sky has been getting lighter and lighter, but for the first time the radient orb itself is in sight. The light it lets off revealed the brown mass of trees that cover the hills all around me, ocasionaly a splash of yellow or orange leaves will break the monotany of the brown but they are few and far between.
