- I’m a typical average Joe sitting here in the UK, Held up defending a position I have been at for the past 3 1/2 weeks. We keep hoping help will come but until then we have enough supplies for the year out. Body count nearing 2k, which includes my best mate. The GF is holding up well even with her fear of zombies before the outbreak. I have recently got a cold... I just hope it’s not the super flu.

The Call
*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* my pager was ringing in my ears, a heart dropping, annoying sound when sleep is getting the better off you. I opened my eyes to a cold, dark bedroom with the only light being an orange glow of a street lamp down the road. A few hours sleep draining all my energy to simply keep my eyelids open.
I turned my head and glanced to the side; my pager illuminating and vibrating to the edge of my bedside…
