- Just trying to survive. Before this all happened I was working at a small software company in Vernon. As the shit was hitting the fan my coworkers all left to be with their families. I hope they got there ok. Now I'm trapped in my office building. The power went out a day ago and I'm running off of the servers' battery backups. I dare not turn on the building's generator for fear that the noise will attract THEM. I'll be on checking for updates of the global situation as long as the batteries last or til the T1 line dies. Can't stop the signal...
- At the time of the zombie outbreak I was...
- at work. Down the road there was an accident; the cars burned but no ambulance came. We called the police, but the line was engaged. Then someone crawled out from under the wreckage. She was on fire, and this guy took off his coat and rushed over to her with it, I guess to put out the flames that were visibly eating her flesh. Everyone scattered. You'd think the attacker would have been dead; she was so burned you could see parts of her skeleton through her seared flesh, but she just tackled that guy, and BIT him! She ATE pieces of him! After a while she stood up and walked away. The poor guy just bled. He should have been dead too; he was all torn up; but he eventually got up and stumbled down the street. If I wanted to find him, I could just follow the trail of gore his intestines left as he dragged them behind him. The window next to my cubile looks out to Route 84, and the highway is backed up in both directions. There's a chain link fence between the highway and the office complex, but would it hold back... everyone? All of the people on the highway look to be alive-alive, but they're all wicked pissed: honking horns, yelling, and some are abandoning their cars and just walking down the highway. There's smoke in the west, I think Hartford's burning.
