"The Russian SKS and the Chicom Type 56 are basically the same rifle. All bullets travel in a hyperbolic path (curved), so if you haven't trained for the gravity effect of projectiles, you absolutely will not be well off."

"Dylan; spoken like a true expert on Desert Eagles, about the wrists and all that low ammo capacity. How many have you shot?"

"DJ; 1. Neither the M1 Garand nor the M1 Carbine (which I believe Kiefer specifically mentioned) will jam on you, don't know where that comes from as the functionality of both of those weapons is above reproach. The M1 Carbine is not huge, it is…"

"Yeah, if you are talking about non-swarming zombies a DB with a bandolier of 00buck and two 8 shot Model 608 .357 Taurus revolvers with lots of speed loaders, great. Of course, if they are swarming, then you need a pump 12 Ga, Mossberg, 591 SPX,…"

TripodXL replied to Brian Mark's discussion What is the best military firearm for killing zombies? in the group United States Armed Forces
"Hey, Jack, I've got 4 ARs that I built for about $650 apiece. If you want some at $1200 I'll be happy to build some for you, nice too. Would rather spend more for a more accurate rifle with more range. Also surplus LC is on the net for…"

"Well actually mopp, that would violate the laws of physics. Newton's 3rd law of classical mechanics would have an instantaneous effect at the moment of combustion and cause a deleterious affect on the flight of the bullet (as it actually does)…"

TripodXL replied to Brian Mark's discussion What is the best military firearm for killing zombies? in the group United States Armed Forces
"BD, you need to check the ballistic tables; 7.62x39 does not have the range of M193, M855 or MK262, even in a 14.5" barrel. Lower velocity and lower ballistic co-efficient and artillery like trajectory. However, if you are referring to ME…"

About Me...
Intellectual Gladiator; Wry sense of humor and Master Level smart-ass. Pet peeves are spelling, grammar (not to be confused with grammer) and Weapons Experts/Internet Commandos whose breadth and depth of expertise, far exceeds their (not there) IQs. Done tours in SEA, the sandbox, the rock pile and others. Have actually shot REAL AK-47s, among others, NRA Master pistol shooter, Service Rifle competitor, Expert M-16/M-4/M-9/M203/M79, know the difference between a clip versus a magazine, have actually been shot at, have actually returned fire, 11 years AD, 38 total, 34 for pay, retired E-8, bored, no one left to kill (legally, really miss that), saw this and said "what the hell". Not really a bad-ass, just smarter than the zombies I've been around. Just remember, 50% of the people you come in contact with today, are BELOW AVERAGE! When people meet you, which group are you in? LOL
At the time of the zombie outbreak I was...
Prepared, in the 99th percentile!
Weapon of choice for fighting zombies...
A well prepared brain, skill & M-4 with abundant ammo + Katana
