From Caretaker of the dead to Killer of the dead.

I was training to be a funeral director, a caretaker of the deaceased. Then funerals became irrelevant as the world collapsed. From my former career I took with me supplies that might help me survive: scalples, forceps, hemostats, embalming fluids intended to disinfect the dead but that I thought might be of use for the living, and my weapon, a trocar. About Me...
I have had autoimmune disorders most of my life and have always required medical attention and an arsenal of medications to function day to day. My mom has an autoimmune disorder called scleroderma which has literally hardened her skin and internal organs at this point I an her sole caretaker and I have to mix the medicine for her medical pump every day due to the half life of the medication. If the pump is disconnected she will die within minutes. I also am enrolled at Wayne State University majoring in Mortuary Science. I've wanted to be a funeral director since I was in elementary school, which is odd at that age. You see I had a lot of elderly relatives die very close together and I dealt well with the deaths and funerals. I already work at a funeral home doing my apprenticeship.
At the time of the zombie outbreak I was...
Starting my first semester of college and working at a local funeral home as their apprentice. My mom is just barely hanging on to life in the hospital, her weak immune system led to her getting that super flu thing even though we got immunized.
Weapon of choice for fighting zombies...
I've been using a trocar as a weapon. It's an embalming tool that is a long metal tube with a very sharp point. It easily stabs through the zombies. My aim is getting better, I usually aim for the thinner parts of the skull, temples, eyes, bace of the head. But I'm getting weaker since my medication isn't available anymore, I don't know how much longer I can survive.
