What's the coolest weapon or gizmo that you have that would be of great use in a zpoc? I recently got some adapters for my double barrel 12 gauge that let's me shoot a variety of pistol rounds.…Continue

Crossbow vs. rifle

Started this discussion. Last reply by James Carnes Mar 7, 2012. 11 Replies

Ok, I wanna hear opinions. In the long run, would it be smarter to use a crossbow or a rifle? I don't have the knowledge or luxury of being able to load my own shells, so this was something my…Continue

Survival in an apocalyptic world

Started this discussion. Last reply by James Carnes Feb 9, 2012. 9 Replies

In any survival situation, the most important things you need should be obvious. Water, shelter, fire, and food are the ones I would deem most valuable. Most everyone thinks of just killing zombies…Continue

"It is an AR15 Pistol and it is 5.56 NATO. I built it myself. I have an FFL so I registered the lower as a pistol as soon as I took it from the box. You CANNOT change a rifle or carbine to a pistol. The ATF will lock you up for quite a long time."

"Yeah, I got a hobo tool in my pack as well. Very handy. What kind of weapon is that? I assume it's 5.56, but you know what they say about assuming. Very nice deathspitter though"

What's the coolest weapon or gizmo that you have that would be of great use in a zpoc? I recently got some adapters for my double barrel 12 gauge that let's me shoot a variety of pistol rounds. Needless to say, but this made my gauge worth it's weight in gold. A must have for anyone with a single shot 12 gauge, and the best part is each adapter is only 20 bucks

"Ok, I saw this post and got a little excited cuz I just changed my loadout. Long range weapon=compound bow. It'a quiet, I can make arrows and/or retrieve them, and parts aren't that hard to find. Short range weapon=12 gauge side by side…"

"Awesome. My friends and I talk about this a lot actually. I would do pretty much the same thing you did. Start off with at least 30-40 acres, a big, sturdy house for H.Q., most def an underground room with a tunnel that leads into a wooded area for…"

Bandits!!!

Posted on October 12, 2011 at 2:56pm 0 Comments

Everyone used to think I was eccentric. Maybe even a little crazy. The way I looked at it, if I can survive a zombie apocalypse, I can survive anything. Ha, who knew right? ALL of my training has most def paid off. My wife, daughter and I just made it to the Academy sporting goods store. I was hoping that it wouldn't be picked over too bad. The first thing was to get sarah and abby to a safe place. We found a conference room with a deadbolt on the inside. Perfect. I gave sarah the 12 gauge, plr… Continue

Battling the hordes

Posted on October 5, 2011 at 6:35pm 0 Comments

If you are seeking refuge, stay away from Waco. Despite what we have been told, the undead run this shithole now. My wife, daughter and I travelled from lacy lakeview to here, and let me tell you, it was the worst 25 miles of my life. Luckily, I was a little prepared. I was armed with my plr-16 and my dha. My wife, sarah, had my mossberg chainsaw. My little girl was my number one priority. Everything was fine until we got on the highway. So many abandoned vehicles were were in the way, crushed,… Continue
