About Me...
It’s been about a month since the outbreak and here’s my story, At the time of the outbreak we were in Chester at about 11 am on november 5th, with me, my 4 friends and my Dad, the crowds where so huge, at first we didn’t know what was happening, but then we saw one, the shambling, half eaten monstrosity was moving close towards our group, my Dad being ex-military took immediate control over the group. We managed to escape the ever-growing horde by taking refuge in the shopping centre, a move we later discovered to be fatal. We tried to make our way out the other side of the Mall when we ran into a group of the undead, there were at least ten or 12 of them together, we tried sneaking past them but it was no use, they smelt us almost immediately, we tried to fight back but were soon overrun, we could hear the screams of other survivors being torn apart by the "zombies" and the guttural noises and moans of the horde from down the corridor, as I turned towards the door I saw my best friend, he had managed to push one of the zombies to the ground and turned to face me, then behind him 3 more zombies “Behind you, quick turn around” I shouted, but it was too late, one of the basterds got him on the right arm, another biting his Achilles and the third tearing at the left side of his neck, as I saw the look of pain in his eyes they seemed to say, what’s done is done, there’s no hope for me now I’m already doomed, we managed to escape them and as we ran through the door, I turned to face my fallen comrade, his guts strewn across the floor and his limbs being feasted upon by the undead, I shed a tear for my friend and swore to god that I would live through the apocalypse and kill every single one of these pus filled, maggot farms until they were all dead or I was. We managed to get back to the car and get the hell out of the city, when we made it back to Alex’s farm we were exhausted, it was late and night was falling, the military had set up checkpoints around the surrounding towns and were loading up the civilians into these big trucks, all the soldiers were in biohazard suits, and his parents were nowhere to be seen, in the distance we could hear the gunfire and we could see the flames licking up into the sky like waves of vivid orange, we gathered 3 shotguns and a box of shells from the farm house and made camp on the top floor of the house and barricaded the windows and the doors downstairs. We each took hour long shifts on guard duty until the morning. When we awoke it was, well, just silent outside, some smoke could be seen rising in the distance and all the cows in the fields were dead, but the gunfire had stopped and the noise you would expect to hear in the days after a zombie outbreak were simply not there, it was too quiet, we moved out of the farmhouse we went to the garage and rounded any gear we could find and moved out hungry for zombie blood. Since that we’ve been drifting along the north Wales coast following radio broadcasts to the nearest Survivor camps, looking for ammo and supplies,raiding gun shops hoping to get lucky. We lost some good men along the way, we lost “Robbo” just last week, the remaining few of us gave him a proper burial and a good send off, it’s just the three of us now, me, Dad, kie and Alex left we have been waiting for evacuation or some kind of organised counter offensive for a month now, and the radio stopped picking up broadcasts a few weeks ago, looks like it’s just us and the zombies left up here. If there are any survivors left, anyone, please contact me by radio or anything, we need help, we are running low on medical supplies and we’ve exhausted most of our resources, please, help us.
