It's been three weeks now, since I intially discovered the infection.

Still I, the drained, exhausted and injured boys and the, of course, clinically sane owner of the gun shop, who had finally come to tell us his name, Sam. A rather unfitting and calm name, for someone so bedraggled and lacking of sane logic, I thought.

We drove for hours, my body was drained of all its energy hours ago, but i knew we couldn't stop, for long anyways... Another hour passed and we eventually came across a lit up gun shop.
As we stopped the engine and stepped towards the door, shots were fired at us, bullets whizzed past us, just barely missing us and sending us sprawling for cover.

I woke with my body being shaken violently as someone was bashing on my door, screaming for me to let them in, I looked through the hole in my door and noticed them covered, almost head to toe in blood, both old, caked blood and fresh, still running blood. Shocked, I reluctantly opened the door…

I trudged backwards and forwards from the shed to the house, barricading windows, gathering weapons and ammo, and packing my 4x4 with canned food and water, knowing they would keep the longest.

I was worried as it had been so quiet for a good couple of hours, so I tried again to contact some friends, the ring tone was back, but everyone’s phones were disconnected, or simply not answering. A RUDE AWAKENING..

I woke to an ambulance siren whirring weakly outside my window, its lights flashing into my room, lighting the whole thing up. I wondered why it was stopped outside, and, after looking through my window, not able to see it over the wall outside, I went to investigate...
