It's been a long time since we have had internet connection here. The power has been coming and going. Things have been getting worse here at the compound. There is a new fear to pair with the fear of the undead, plague. The streets have gotten filthy and packed with survivors. Some new survivors have made it to our compound today. They said that when they began to set out for help they had 15 people in their party. They lost two or three to injuries and infection. They lost another 8 to a group of raiders. These people are dangerous and will take everything you have. I urge any women who read this to hide or start dressing like males. So a few days ago the people in the library I am staying in started talking about a man that says he has "a cure" for this plague or whatever you want to call it. He made thousands of fliers and was posting them all over the city. He claimed he was a doctor and had figured out a way to cure the living dead from their virus. Seeing many scams come and go I didn't think twice about it. Then people said that he was going to be at Wenonah Park at 2pm today. Where we are is relatively safe right now.… Continue
