After becoming separated from his friends and family David had made his way to the Salem prison, where he had been planning on staying if he ever had to protect himself from zombies. After the prisoners where released David capitalized on the empty building, and set up his own tribe of survivors. By locking down the front entrance and reinforcing the lower portions of the surrounding fence, David had made the old building a safe home for hundreds.
