Zombiecicle...

Posted on November 22, 2008 at 10:46am 0 Comments

This morning I spotted smoke coming from a chimney. It was some survivors stoking their wood stove. I strapped on my snowshoes and wove my way towards the smoke plume. I cautiously approached the building and called out to the survivors. Of course they answered their door with their gun locked and loaded. I made small talk while I kept my hands in plain sight. Their leader asked if I had any smokes. I took off my back pack and tossed him an unopened carton of cigarettes and told them to keep… Continue

Ghoul roast...

Posted on October 28, 2008 at 12:25pm 0 Comments

I counted 27 Z's trapped in a basement after a farmhouse floor collapsed. I tossed three gallons of gas on them and lit the whole group up. The house caught fire and collapsed in on top of them. The stink was horrible. If you do this type of thing, I suggest you do it on a windless day. It had been raining a few days before I started the fire, so I had almost no fire hazard to worry about. Put another undead shrimp on the barbie...

Building collapse...

Posted on October 17, 2008 at 11:28am 0 Comments

The frost drove a large group of Z's into a old farm house. The floor collapsed and now they are all milling about in the basement. I going back after my post to douse them with gasoline and have a ghoul roast. I'll let you know how it goes.

Cold weather does affect the dead...

Posted on October 7, 2008 at 9:38am 0 Comments

We've finally got freezing tempatures. The dead stay immoble until the sun warms them up enough to start moving again. Some of them are entering abandoned buildings. I wonder if they will begin to migrate inside as the tempatures begin to stay colder for longer periods of time. If this is the case, we might be able to kill them before the spring thaw. Hopefully, this is finally a ray of sunshine...

I am sick...

Posted on September 18, 2008 at 10:42am 0 Comments

I think I have a hard core sinus infection...maybe walking pneumonia. If I breathe hard, I go into a coughing fit. I've coughed so hard my ribs hurt and I've partially dislocated my neck. My coughing also called in one lone Z last night. I was so tired I popped her in the head, went back to bed, and waited till this morning to haul her away. (I used my quad and drug her to my "killing field".) I am alone, and now I wonder about the consequences of making that choice. If I die out here, I'll… Continue

It's a terrible thing, Steve, but my first time was in a parking lot. It was threatening to rain soon, and I remember the wind kicking up a good deal of debris. I put my collar up and hurried to the car, my thoughts on the day's activity.

As I slipped a key into the door, I heard something scrape on the pavement close at hand. I turned. It lurched forward, one leg held at an unnatural angle. The thing's skin was grayish, its eyes a sick yellow, shifting uncontrollably within sunken sockets.

I had time to clamber into the car and slam lock the doors. The thing mashed its face against the side window, leaving a trail of slime along the glass.

I started the engine and threw the vehicle into reverse. I left it swaying in the parking lot, face turned to the wind.

I'm in high hopes. We got together another winters worth of food and a still fortified station(with occasional incident). But all in all I think me and the people of this little barricaded ex-grocery store can finally have a descent winter.
I really hope we are not the only ones around here who are able to stay safe and stay fed. If not we may have some food to spare but we will wait for first frost before we start to make our way to stations in need. I am sorry...

yeah I have a plan to go to mackinaw also. Its fort is operatable. the ports are easy to defend it has its own electic system. We need everyone to bring weapons supplies, fuel, and anything other that you think can be helpfull. There is a weapon shop either in mackinaw island or close by i cant remember. there are markets, and hotels that have food. if this does happen. dont drink water from sinks it is probably infected by now. another note is that animals cant turn into zombies. no matter what youve heard or seen they cant. another note is dogs go crazy if they smell, hear, sence a zombie nearby. get out of town and to mackinaw island quickly. take only 1-3 days getting fuel, bottled water, canned food, and weapons. if it is possible bring a generator. as for the farries. we can my Dad, uncle, and cousin. who all live nearby can operate boats. another note about mackinaw island is that the govener mansion is there the guards are armed. a fact about zombies is they cant run, swim, and they dont have better strength. they are slow but can walk underneath the water some called "Floaters" float to the top and when they try to walk they kinda swim. so a boat isnt the safest place to stay on for a long duration of time. they have enhanced hearing and smell so be quiet and out of sight at all times.
