- Zombie Fight Athens is series of short horror films set in and around Athens, GA. Episodes will be released on an irregular basis over the next several months. Each episode will incorporate a recognizable landmark or location in or around the town. We also hope to incorporate recognizable figures (i.e., bands or artists) in future episodes.

Here at Zombie Fight Athens, we are constantly looking for new talent to swell the ranks of Undead. If you are interested in fighting zombies or becoming a zombie yourself AND you live in Athens, Ga. or the surrounding area, please contact either Marty Simpson or Matt Mammola (contact information provided below). We are looking for actors and actresses capable of staged fighting and comfortable around large quantities of fake blood. Also must not be allergic to liquid latex or cosmetic products.

On the night of Saturday, Sept. 13th zombies took to the streets of downtown Athens, Ga. searching for brainsbeer. About 15 or 16 zombies were spotted as the horde lumbered from bar to bar. The zombies, though initially agitated, become more docile as the evening wore on. They were greeted at local bar Tasty World with opened arms and exposed necks. Free drinks were had by many. I've had 7 major motion pictures under my belt [sadly over the course of 20 some odd years- hey, at least I've got the day job...]
In answer to your most pressing question I've got 4 of the 7 films with credited FX Make-up. Within those films I'm either as one of the application technicians or as the supervising creator for the look of the films I was on.
I believe in a "modified approach" to scoring some one else's work- I'll have a look at what you have and offer some ideas for things I've done- if realism is your goal you'll want one set of techniques- if you're simply looking for the "site gag" for quick shock, there'll be another set of techniques to not only get the look and the audience reation you want, but often save you & your production some money in the process!

I'm glad you commented- it reminded me. There's going to be a co-birthday party for myself and another girl from the burlesque troupe at Little Kings on December 6th- it's themed. Everyone has to dress as either a zombie, robot, ninja, pirate, or some mixture of the above. You should come kick some ass in the zombie dance off!
