Evolution takes place over many generations. Since zombies can't reproduce, (I don't even want to envision the process) they can't really evolve. It would be the virus evolving to better assimilate the host.

I also think that it a the virus that mutates the human body is just a host for the parasite. Each new mutation of the virus strain could start to eliminate some of the earlier versions weaknessess ie. speed, intelligence, etc.

While I know everything evolves, I do not think faster stronger once infected or dead. Maybe smarter to a degree, but once infected and then truly dead, I dont think the dead tissue could evolve. therefore While the virus might mutate to create…

I like the distance weapons the most, but in close range, a SPAS-12 will do. Make sure your face is covered too, don't want any of the juicy blowback :D.
