I don't have a lot of time so this will be short. My battle buddy was able to contact his wife. She is safe for the time being. She sought refuge in an abandoned attic and pulled up the ladder. Through some miracle she was able to get her laptop online for a few moments and sent an email out to my battle buddy giving us her sitrep and location. I was filming some footage of my fishing area on the island. I saw a column of smoke rising from a hill south of San Francisco. Our observation plane was sent to investigate. It appears a group of survivors in an apartment block were battling a swarm of infected. Word came down from the brass that my team is going to be sent on a recon/rescue mission.
