here's a little something i cooked up in my spare time.
It has been a month since the first sign of the outbreak. My military unit and I had been traveling since then. We haven’t found any signs of life at all. From city to city, all destroyed, in ruins filled with the undead. My brothers…Continue

This is my first time writing an entry on my computer. The date is 06/14/2012, and I wish that this was the beginning of a normal summer... No such luck. By now the infection has spread throughout most of the globe, and the virus itself has mutated and adapted to reanimate the corpses for longer, raise their violence level, and in a few cases the body would function for several minutes after the head was…Continue

She leans closer, resting her hand over my heart, she smiles to the feeling of my heart racing. Time begins to slow down, I blink for a second seeing were eye to eye. She lift's up my shirt, placing her hand over my stomach, my hand twitches a bit. She runs her finger along my scar, feeling the question running through her mind on how I got it. Her breathing changed, as so did mine. "Whoa... sorry to interupt here." James says. Liz loses her balance pushing me down, hitting the floor. We…Continue

It has been two days since the runner killed Bobby. The houses that we searched on W North Street in Pontiac, Illinois yielded some crackers and expired soup, which I ate since Henry was old and Maria was the woman of the group. One of the houses actually had a baseball bat and and Colt .45 pistol without any ammo. The rest of them consisted of furniture and electronics, except for one that had waterproof matches and kitchen knives. We used the furniture of one of the houses…Continue

Liz takes a sip, then a weird look appears on her face, making me choke a bit. "Yea, that tell's me you haven't had it before.." She looks at me. "Oooh someone thinks there a bad ass.." she says, sticking out her tounge. "I laugh a bit, I aint no bad ass, you just got to understand, I can take my time with mine, yet when I finish, I grab another. Patience is a virtue." She looks up at my wall pinned up with my drawing's through highschool, graffitti styles as gifts from friends, pictures of…Continue

We told them we would be introducing compounds into the town simulating fallout -- That we wanted to track it inside the population, harmless stuff, this was one of the cover stories. It made it easy to take samples and run tests, no one asked questions, everyone was happy to help.

We walk up the porch, I swing the screen door open, and twisting the knob pushing the door open. "Come on in..." I step in, walking into the living room. "wow, man...this is some old place." James says. "Yea...my pops was re- doing the living room, replacing the sheet rock.. the house has a story to it.. Just go ahead, make yourselves at home. Kitchen is behind you, bathroom down the hall only door in the middle." They drop all there stuff in the center of the living room, taking out some of…Continue

We walk back inside as the padre and I stopped, facing eachother exchanging our last words, and shaking eachothers hand. I part my way back to the benches, sitting down, and placing my head between my knees holding in the painful memories erase from my mind. Liz walks over to me, sitting next to me. "hey...are you alright?" asking in a soft tone that putting my mind at ease. I wipe my face, seeing she got the picture.. "I'm sorry.." she says, rubbing my back. "That cop that we saved.. she's…Continue

We are finally out of fuel just outside of Pontiac, Illinois. Henry, Maria, Bobby, and I have been practically starved to death this week, only finding the occasional stash of food inside of an abandoned car. Three times Henry had to shoot down runners that found us while we were searching for food. It took seven of his shells to lay all of the zombies to rest, pushing his total down to eleven shells. It turns out that Henry's truck didn't have as much gas in it as we thought…Continue

Subject 18, exhibits odd characteristics not consistent with DX-11/18 infection, whether this represents natural immunity -- or something more -- remains to be seen.
We all agree Subject 18 represents the best chance we have to crack the virus' defenses. This may be our chance to gain the hand over this infection.

The flu is changing every time we think we bagged it, as stated in previous notes. But its not just changing every time we dose the subject, no far from that. I dies and comes back slightly different from the previous one. The subject is also prone to changes along with this.
When we first dosed her she was just mindless, staring blankly about the room like a drone waiting for orders. The third time she was what seemed like near panicked fear. In her holding cell she would…Continue

I never calculated this, being trapped in a barn surrounded by the dead. No food, no water, no company which almost seems the worst part. Dying alone (the zeds outside are exempt) from emaciation and dehydration... slowly. The barn rats are starting to look tasty but I don't think I have the energy to work for it.

We drive along the highway heading south back towards my home town. We pass through the southside of town looking at the empty streets filled with zombies walking around, I look at the mall area seeing a group trying to get inside. "Bet you anything those people thought it feel like dawn of the dead to them. I accelerate continuing on our adventure. We all look both ways of the highway for any survivors traveling on foot. But, all we saw were more of them and vehicles left behind.
